Gamespot posted on the Canadian number just hours ago and as of that time the NA numbers still have not been published for February. Furthermore, no other gaming news site on the web has access to these numbers yet, but some forum poster does???? And this sounds believable to you why??? Plain and simple, NPD has not released any publications for NA for the month of Feb.... you can google and see for yourself. Sales may or may not be low... the point is that the post is not true and we have to wait for the REAL numbers to come out to know for sure. You can't Google NPD numbers. NPD numbers have to come from secondhand sources unless you BUY them from NPD. And NPD released their numbers at 4pm. I think they will get lower and lower especially since there is nothing spectacular coming out for a long while. No, it'll go up in March, I think. Sony did have a small "comeback" at GDC, so I can see PS3 sales rising momentarily up to 150k to 170k. But dang, they need games NOW. The Wii can survive on WiiSports, Twilight Princess, and WarioWare, and the 360 just has a golden year ahead of it, but the PS3 needs something really big soon.[QUOTE="magus-21"][QUOTE="Deihmos"][QUOTE="magus-21"][QUOTE="Sgt_Hale"][QUOTE="bkslayer"]This isnt false, and you know gamespot is slow with the news. The poster from the Neogaf forums has access to these numbers himself, and he makes a post like this every month.
But besides all of that, that is pretty bad for Sony. Hopefully March will be much much different, but it just doesnt seem it will be. Besides Oblivion (which Xbox already has) what other game do you guys think will sell systems in March? This is a deep hole Sony has to dig themselves out of.

Why would it go up in March? Because of Oblivion or Amored Core? yea those are big system sellers even though one is a year old game and a new expansion is already coming to Xbox Live.
The marketing is just beginning to get turned up for the PS3 and will continue to increase as new apps are released. The Sony brand is the system of choice for many gamers. As they know that more games are available, they'll be purchasing one. Plus, the word of mouth for the console has been increasingly positive. I expect to see the numbers continuing to rise.... most noticeably going into the fall.
