man this is perfect for baseball games, when you play with your friend, he won't be able to see what pitch you selected...
NO DON'T LOOK AT THE HEADPHONES TO THE RIGHT LIKE I DID...
LOOK at the lower left hand corner when he's holding the controller and puts it down it's FREAKING BLURRED and guess what???it FREAKING MOVES... :o
Might just be the wire for the controller catching on the table as he set it down. Rumble wouldnt act like that. Try it at home kids, attach the controller to ur PS3 via USB and place it at that angle on the table when the wire is strectched the other way. No new controller im afraid at least not yet.speedjunkie1992
Clearly you havent seen a USB cord before because anyone with glasses or no glasses can see that little white string, which im guessing your speaking of, is not a USB cord, It has to be the new controller or else they wouldnt blur it out, I mean why didnt they blur out the other PS3 controllers?
dude . .i think he's pushing it . .biggamerhk
I doubt he pushed it, his arm speed is faster then the reaction of the controller, and we all know rumble moves the controller slowly. The fact that this certain controller is blurred means something, because they didnt have a problem showing the the PS3 controller at the start of the tour.
He might just have the controller hooked up to the PS3 via a USB cable, charging. And it might have just moved with the tension of the wire. If you look just below his left arm at the end of the video, you'll see a white cable that moves as the SIXAXIS moves. I don't think this is proof of the rumble function in a SIXAXIS controller.
As for the blurring, I think perhaps it's just blurred out because it's not even a SIXAXIS, it could be some third party controller for the PS3, so they had to blur it out.
Of course, though, my comments are not meant to disprove the eventuall existance of a rumble enabled SIXAXIS, I just think that this is not proof of one. We'll have to wait until E3 before seeing any proof of a SIXAXIS_2.
All most everyone was set against rumble in the beginning andnow it seems that a lot of people want it back. I really don't think they should because that would really detract developors from even using the SixAxis which they still are not really using. Plus I would have to buy a new controller.fireblazer236
Where have you been, when there were tons of threads wanting rumble back, and that it sucked without rumble? I mean this is why its coming back anyway because sony finally heard the community, its not like 1 person said we want rumble, and BAM here it is.

ARE YOU SERIOUS!, wow, first off like i said on the page before this one, that wire clearly is not a USB cord, and you can clearly see there is no cord hooked up to the top of the PS3 controller, even if blurred. Also before they blurred it out fromt he start, you can see it is indeed the 1st party PS3 controller. I guess some people eye sites arent as good as others or dont have a fast enough reaction to see these things. If you see the scene after this Gif, you can see before they cut to the final clip that the blur is removed for atleast 1sec, and you can see the layout of the PS3 controller. I dont understand why people keep posting doubts when its not that hard to see.

idk but I can see Sony Trade you old comtrollers for 1/2 price fora new one though, it wouldnt be fair to pay full price for something such as that.
im not sure if sony will actually be able to sell a rumble enabled controller, microsoft pretty much bought the rights to use it...kevy619
Please tell me your still stuck on April 1st because that right there is just a joke, Microsoft owns no right to nothing, infact they just sued the people who put rumble in their controller because finally sony made up with that company, and now has the rights to add rumble back in.
I also notice something in the gif picture posted at the GAF forum, right when it moves, at the same exact time you can see th
e arrow on the screen because hes being shot at. That right there makes it more credible that this may indeed be rumble.

i hav esuper enlarged it and now you can see its not connected i know its a rumble but if not. ign and free radical are some sick pracksters
No.
Microsoft payed out immersion to use it, yes, but they didn't buy exclusive rights. Plus, Sony has made a new partnership with immersion, which in many articles hints to the use of a more sophisticated form of rumble.
If you look at the controller, and if you have watched the actual video, you will know that there is no cable connected to the controller. Also, his hand may have slightly pulled on the front left side of the controller when moving to the keyboard, which is a logical explanation to the exact movements of the SIXAXIS. If that controller does in fact have rumble and it is moving because it is rumbling, then thats explainable too. Apparently the technology is a lot more advanced than the old rumble, so if you look at the screen you will see he is being shot at, which will make t rumble. BUT, if you have read about how the technology is more advanced and will react more precisely to where the rumble etc is coming from, because of the different placements of the rumble mechanics in the supposed new controller you will notice that; he gets shot from an angle which is more to the right, which would force the player to move to the left, and the controller responds by rumbling the left side of the controller to give a more "force feedack" ****rumble. This explains why the controller moves more on the left and not so much on the right. Also, the strength of the white line, which dissapears slowly, corresponds to the movement of the SIXAXIS. If you look at the line and the controller you will see that the controller stops moving when the line is gone etc.
Both theories are possible. The guy could have moved it by slightly pushing it while he was putting it down (an expanded video would help, to see more movement of his hand etc) or, there could be very smart new rumble in the controller to explain the movements. After writing this reply, I can't believe how plausible it is that the controller has rumble, from my observation I am 50/50 about if it's the guy pushing it or that it's rumble. Now I personally think I have wasted my time trying to explain such speculation, but luckily I have nothing better to do. I'm on my day of party recovery. What I would like to say is, I hope the "new and improved" rumble does make it to future versions of the controller. It would be great, though if it doesn't I won't give a flying poop.
To end this... why the hell would the controller be blurred? Damn speculation these days... it's over the top haha.

Immersion won't pay MS because they didn't license rumble, they licensed the "touchsense" technology that was not included in the deal. Great way to screw MS isn't it?

well it might be a new rumblin' sixaxis. Cuz that might be another one in a bag on top that CPU behind the monitorSweet Jesus, Sony decided to screw rumble and puts a new fetarue in the Six-Axis......Ghosts. Every new model will come with a built in custumized Ghost this video only proves this theroy i just made up and Ill will say I have a friend at Sony who can prove this. Bolund:o!!! yo know the muffin man too?!?!?!?
I think there is definatly a new controller coming out soon and its very possible that it has rumble and a LED light in the PS button.
if you have checked out the news article about the price cut and 80 gig ps3 and you look at the picture in the article the picture shows a ps3 controller with a red light in the PS button
Also this video has blurred controllers with rumble-esque qualities, coincidence? i think not

What makes you say that? The original box didn't have a red LED lit up on the controller.
Oh and about the video, it looks like he's testing or implementing rumble. He put the controller down to press a button on the keyboard and the controller moves forward - maybe rumbling after a bullet is fired.
Well back at launch ,the advertising then also had the red/orange ps button so i don't know what to say of the box. The blurring of the controller in the haze video could thus be to hide this light from being seen, but the haze video was shot before the ubisoft event in may so do you really think a third party developer would of had a secret controller in may?

ahh, i didnt know that, thats stupid to show a light on the box and then dissapoint when there is no light.
then again mabe they are actually doing it this time, maybe not, but i still think there is a good chance of a new controller.
