PS3's Halo?

Supposedly Haze will be. I'm kind of doubting that, but it does look really fun.

I think Resistance 2 will be more of the PS3's Halo. It probably won't be coming until next fall, though, if Insomniac's track record is to be applied to this generation as well.

still... the fact that the PS3 version will support unfiltered mods and KB+M makes the PS3 the obvious choice to get, along with the PC version of course.

no...? They did that cause Midway and Sony have a deal (1 million dollars LOL!!!) to have the PS3 version come out this year(Source E3 07 Sony Conference). PC and PS3 players are getting it this year. no release date for 360 version. Umm they said they havent even got far in developement for it to be even released this year for 360.

Still, halo1 was good, nothing more. If you want a REAL shooter, I'm personnally IN for unreal tournament 3 :D looking AWESOME (check the last video), it's way more than halo!!! Or maybe Haze (not sure at all) it remind me of crysis (wich looks great). Maybe the sequel of R:FoM (the game was AWESOME, the weapons are great)?

I dont want anything like halo on the ps3, this game has turned into a religion for some people and it is sad. I would hate to have my life dominated by halo. now what should I do tomorrow, I must consult the halo comic book! lol.NinjaMunkey01

yeah, HALO is fun, but repetitive. With 3 HALO games, it must get old eventually.

I really wish they would let Halo die. It's not the best game in the world (well is to small minds) and to be honest, I don't want something that can be "compared" to Halo cause if I wanted Halo, I'd get a 360. Maybe it's cause I'm older than the average GS poster and not so easily sold on the first shiney thing I see, but there are WAY BETTER FPS games out there that blow Halo out of the water. If you kiddies can pull your heads out of your Halo arses and take a look (actually think past Halo *gasp*) you would see for yourself.

That is so true. Halo has always been overrated. When i played this game the first time didn`t like it that much i never wanted to try Halo2. And the third part is gonna be the same peace of something.

you are correct. no joke.

plus why would we want a game that is ultra frustrating for beginners. it's a horrible experience. R:FOM took me long enogh to get great at, halo, takes twice as long. if you're not a huge shooter fan, halo is not for you. that's why it's overrated, oh and it's not that great either... it could be that.. :)

Why does everyone think Killzone 2 will be good? I mean really the first one was ok and graphics DO NOT define how good a game will be, It really bugs me when people say Killzone 2 looks so good,but they never mention anything bad. I mean I love Halo, but I am not a fanboy and I don't think ps3 will ever re-create a Halo experience. Thats my opinion so make up your own mind.Cdonveto

Agreed. Killzone 1 wasn't that great, and I heard that the playable demos of Killzone 2 wasn't that good (like bad AI).

i've played through both and i hate them, plus the mp is kinda boring.

I can't really say that I think Sony is ever going to get a "Halo"... Us Sony followers have been ranting for years about how this next FPS WILL BE THE HALO KILLER!!!! No. I personally do not like Halo. But it's for Xbox. Why do we have to have a"HALO". Why can't we enjoy the Killzones, and Haze, and UT3, and Resistance without thinking in the back of our heads: "Is THIS better than HALO?"

I think all of the FPSs listed here are bound be fantastic games, regardless of whether you judge them based on an old tried-and-true formula from another game we'll never have.

Killzone 2 will surely be better than Halo 2; single player anyway. For Killzone 2 to be good online, lag free, there has to be dedicated derversor a grahics have to be degraded considerably!

Plus I think graphics says it all, if a company spends that type of money on a game; it gonna be good; they wouldnt risk it! Plus its pretty straight forward when your making a somewhat realistic first person shoot!
