PS3's Halo?

Here is the deal with Halo3...It will be a good fps but there are some many other good fps games coming out in the fall it won't stand out like it has in the past because there was no real competition. Thats changed now. For the first month of Halo 3's release it will do great and it will still do well because there is only like one other fps game going to the xbox360 this fall and thats call of duty 4. So a ps3 owner you have more fps games to choose from such as cod4, Haze, and UT3. Your not going to miss Halo3 with having those fps games to play. Its not like Halo 3 is going to be that much better than those games coming out for the ps3 if anything Halo 3 will be just as good as those games maybe a little worse.

Another way to look at this if one of these games flops well xbox360 fans will only have one good fps game to play this fall and thats cod4 that is if Halo 3 flops. However, if one of the ps3's fps games flops then you still have two other good fps games to rely on but I don't think any of these games will flop though.

Halo 3 will sell well but I can see call of duty 4 selling the most games this fall because its on both consoles and it is the most realistic fps game that you can buy for a console this fall with the most up to date weapons and areas.

Halo 3 has sold over 2 million copies before release, do you really think cod4 will sell more than halo 3.

I have played the cod 4 beta its awesome, im sure the Sp will be awesome, and IMo the game may even be better than halo 3 i will reserve final judgement untill after ive played them, but i would put my house on a bet that halo 3 will outsell cod4.

I find this whole topic quite funny as allot of ps3 only kept saying 360 only has fps games, and ps3 has the most varied of genre's, but now ps3 has several good fps games, there now being touted as the best ps3 games coming, while 360 has a few less fps games coming this fall but has the most varied games in terms of genres(when looking at exclusives) this fall, its quite ironic.

Im so pleased i own both systems as this type of stuff doesnt come into my head, "i need a halo 3 for my ps3" " i need an mgs4 for my 360" i just really enjoy the best of all worlds, and IMO only fangirls miss out.

Is it nice to have that one awesome game that everyone talks about? (even non-gaming fanatics have heard about Halo and it's impending release) Of course.

Yes thats what sony did last gen had a massive portfolio of great games, but by no measn os it true that all the 360 has as a system seller is halo, as the 360 now has other massive franchises like gears of war(already announced as a trilogy) fable 2(fable one was a best seller on xbox) pgr(sells great) mass effect(already announced as a trilogy,and has massive selling potential) ninja gaiden 2 and more.

As you can see the competition is much stiffer this time around, and both consoles have some good/great games released and coming soon, its a great time to not be a fangirl.

don't worry about what other people say. rarely anyone who hates on Halo has played through either Halo 1 or 2. at most... they get 30 minutes of playing the game in before they say "i hate Halo, i want PS3."

Wrong, I've beat both Halo's 1 and 2. Loved Halo 1, Hate Halo 2, and will probably hate Halo 3 from what I've been hearing about it. Personally, I like Perfect Dark Zero better.

As for the PS3, I'll put my money on Kill Zone 2. Haze looks kinda dumb to me.

Killzone 2 will surely be better than Halo 2; single player anyway. For Killzone 2 to be good online, lag free, there has to be dedicated derversor a grahics have to be degraded considerably!

Plus I think graphics says it all, if a company spends that type of money on a game; it gonna be good; they wouldnt risk it! Plus its pretty straight forward when your making a somewhat realistic first person shoot!

I've re-read my post three times and I don't see anywhere that states all the 360 has as a system seller is Halo.

In fact, I'm pretty sure system comparison is outlawed around these parts.

I'd urge you to head to SW to debate the merits of great franchises that are coming to the 360 and PS3. You'll find more fangirls there.
