Resistance is boring

Ive had this game for about a month, and I've played it for about 10 hours. Im already very bored with it,, and I doubt i will ever play it again. I dont know why everyone thinks its so great. BTW, I am an FPS fan.

I thought Resistance was great and having an alternate 1950's was a cool story IMO. I put many hours put into the online mode, with more put into getting all the skill points for the Black Ops w/ Skull MP skin.  I do play a lot of FPS though and plan on getting at least three more in the upcoming months (FEAR, R6:Vegas, The Darkness) so I tend to like these type of games.

R u jokin!?!?!?!? Most people say that it is the best because they play online.  Online killing is awesome.  I've had it for a long time and it still owns.  Online is the best.  Let me guess, you haven't tried online have you?  Or else you would not say this.

u dont own online? getting owned is never fun.

u didn't try single player campaign? with a 40+ lcd in 1080p display and with surround sound?

without those, u probably wont enjoy resistance to the fullest.

Well I own GEOW and RFOM and Raibow Six Vegas, and to be honest, I have alot more fun playing RFOM then any of the other 2. RFOM is just more fast pace, and alot more going on since there are more players to kill in the rooms I join. Only people that would say it is boring are ppl that just aint good at the game, or they have never played the game and are just saying it is boring to put the game down. I love fps games aswell and RFOM is a great game if u love to just have fun, and online kicks a** for RFOM. I have never played on any server on xbox live that runs as smoothly as RFOM, and hope alot more games run like RFOM for the PS3 future online gaming.

I feel the same way.  The graphics are beautiful in some parts but the gameplay is stale, dated and most of all repetitive.  Reminds me of Halo

Tell me about an FPS that isn't, lol. I've played a lot of FPS, and I always have a hard time finishing them. Not because I can't, because I get bored. Fall of man is one of the few FPS I completed lately, and one of my favourite FPS

it's not my Favourite FPS but i liked it a lot.

And the best thing about it is the medals online and the unlockable gear for you're soldier.. thats what's keeping me going :lol:

I preferred Halo more myself. It was a bit easier to put the game into "easy mode", go co-op with a friend, and just start meleeing aliens in the face. (Hey, I'm not much for challenges :D)

Then you must dislike halo because that game was a snoozefest for me. Hell I enjoyed Killzone more.

And yes, Resistance is very overrated. I just wish the TCs name wasnt "Mr. Xbox 360" So he might actually prove a point in these forums.

I believe he owns both. But yes, the name can skew people's feelings on the topic.

Resistance is a fun game.  I just think you are bored b/c nothing really else to play.

I love shooters too, and Resistance felt like work... like I was trying to beat it so I could trade it back while it was still worth something.  When I did soldier through to the end (took me 2 months of off and on play) I couldn't believe how anticlimactic the ending was.  It said "Play through again to unlock new weapons!"  I laughed, ejected the disc, and got $36 for it at gamerush, so that was nice. 

Pretty good looking and playing for a launch title, but that's about the nicest thing you can say for Resistance.  Better than Gears?  Puh-lease!  I didn't care about Nathan Hale, the story, anything.  I just kepts waiting to be amazed by the cell processor and blue ray and it just never happened.  I blame my disapointment on Sony for hyping their hardware so much, personally.  I won't be buying the sequel most likely. 

I wouldnt say that R:FoM is the best FPS i've played but its way better than many xbox shooters i've played (HALO, Perfect dark, GeOW,etc...) IMO the best FPS i ver played was Goldeneye for N64, i would buy that console again and 4 controller just to play that game againchacas

Actually I played Goldeneye 64 a while back with my roomates when I lived by the coast and i now realize that the aiming in that game is so horrid >_>

I'm afraid I totally agree that resistance is boring. Its a good FPS and all but it is so cliche.

Its probably cos I've played so much Halo which resistance just can't stand up to even online.

i played it in copperative 3 times on medium hard and superhuman and i dont see the point in playing the campaign mode...the story is the same so no point....they should have made the game from liek 12 hours to like 30 hours then it would be much more funplanbfreak4eva
