$57 for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. All the rest I wait until after they've gone down in price. I think I paid $40 for Need For Speed: Shift, that's probably the second most expensive game I've bought.
I would never pay more than the "going price" for games. I've only paid 59.99 ONCE at Toys R US. For Uncharted 2, and I only shopped there so I could get Wii sports Resort at half off. (buy 1 get one half off). Actually half my PS3 games I probably paid 19.99 or less since I bought a bunch of "old" games when I first bought my slim. Even the new games I always shop for discounts. Amazon had Modern Warfare 2 with a $20 gift card for pre-orders. Around black friday time they had a bunch of new releases like Fifa 10 and Dragon Age Origins for 34.99. Amazon usually gives you AT LEAST a few dollars off plus pre-order bonuses so there is really almost no reason to pay the full 59.99 for a game IMO. I've always thought the collectors editions were both tacky and a ripoff. Who wants to pay $40+ extra for a friggen action figure or "night vision goggles" unless you are 12 years old??? Most of the collectors editions I wouldn't even want if the price was the same as the regular edition. The only things semi-worthwhile in collectors editions are if they throw in a CD or a game buide (for a game like Demon Souls or Final Fantasy).
The most I've spent on a PS3 game is $100 on the Batman AA Collector's Edition. I also have the God of War III Ultimate Edition preordered for $100. The most I've spent on any game ever would be Bayonetta Climax Edition (360) for $115 AU ($105 US).

In the PS1 and much of th PS2 era, Sports/Wrestling games i got for full price but they suck this gen.
I really wish I had that Assassin's Creed 2 Black Edition. It saddens me that it was exclusive to Europe. It saddens me even more when I see them going for over 250 US dollars on Ebay. Sigh...

I don't know if this counts, but by the time GT5 comes out, I will have spent £190 to play it (£40 for the game, £60 for a wheel, £90 for a WheelStand Pro).

The most expensive PS3 game I've bought was the collectors edition of the original Ninja Gaiden Sigma. In total, it cost me $106 (£66) including import tax.
If we aren't including import tax, Demon's Souls is the most expensive. I bought it a few days ago on ebay, mainly to avoid import tax. It cost £53 ($84). If Atlus would've released it in the UK, I could've got it for much cheaper.
£40, Ive never come across a Special Edition thats been worth the money, the stuff that come in them like Art books or Sound Tracks im only going to look/listen to once so its just a waste of money.
Although when the Batman:AA special edition was announced with the batmarang i was thinking about it just so i could get that, but then seeing all it was is a crappy piece of plastic that wasnt in anyway sort of way detailed im glad i didnt spend the extra money.
