In Metal Gear Solid 4, the player (Old Snake) must navigate the game world in order to progress, using stealth and cunning in addition to traditional combat. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune has the player controlling Nathan Drake in a mix of 3D platform game and a third-person shooter gameplay elements. The platforming elements are similar to games such as Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time or Tomb Raider: Legend, allowing Nathan to jump, swim, grab and move along ledges, climb and swing from ropes, and other similar acrobatic actions to make his way along the ruins on the various islands that he explores. When facing enemies, the player can use melee and combo attacks at close range to take out foes, or can opt to use weapons. Nathan can only carry one pistol with/without one rifle at a time as well as a limited amount of ammo per gun (each gun has its own max spare ammo) and grenades, but can swap either weapon out with any other weapon of the same type on the ground. The third-person shooter elements are similar to kill.switch where the player can have Nathan take cover behind walls, and use either blind-fire or covered fire to take out foes, and more so to Gears of War, due to the lack of an actual health bar and cover essential to success.

Heavenly Sword
The gameplay of Heavenly Sword resembles a martial arts title focused on melee combat while featuring opportunities for ranged attacks, comparable to modern hack and slash games such as Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox and PS3 and God of War for the PlayStation 2. The main character, Nariko, uses a weapon called the "Heavenly Sword" which changes into one of three forms depending on what attack stance the player uses as part of a unique fighting $tyle Speed Stance, the default, provides an even balance between damage and speed, where the sword takes the form of two separate blades. Range Stance allows fast, long-ranging, but weaker attacks, with the sword resembling two blades, chained together. Power Stance is the most powerful, but slowest $tlyle where attacks are made with the Sword in the shape of one large, two-handed blade.

Saints Row 2
Saints Row 2 has a gameplay structure similar to Saints Row. On foot, the player's character is capable of walking, running, swimming, climbing and jumping, as well as utilising weapons and basic hand-to-hand combat. After Saints Row was produced and work begun on Saints Row 2, the streaming engine was completely rewritten. Because of this, new air-based vehicle types and online co-operative play have been made possible, along with many new major improvements to provide a smooth, interactive world, with significant decreases in terms of glitches, bugs and pop ins. The game incorporates three difficulties: casual, normal and hardcore, which can be changed at the beginning of the game.
