The PS3 Recommendation Thread-What Game Should I Get?(56k )Updated-Nov 14,2008

oh, and i'd consider before getting Ninja Gaiden Sigma.. i wouldn't like to see many people go through the same disappointment i did.. (and the loss of 70euros which made lock myself in the room and cry nonstop). ninja gaiden (in my opinion.. and my friends.. and.. lol i think it should be global, dunno how game spot gave it a 9.0...) is extremely overrated.. just for u to get the idea.. i would give it a 7.5 instead of it's 9.0.. =S.oh and Devil may Cry 4 i would give a 9.0 instead of it's 8.0.. oh and Metal Gear Solid i would give a 12 ^^. OH i forgot assassin's creed... it deserves the 9.0 it got.. it is a very good game.. (now that i compare assassin's creed and devil may cry 4, maybe DMC4 deserves a 9.1 =P). Hope i helped u decide! Get both! That's what I did.

Also, if you like futuristic racing games, I'd recommend fatal inertia ex. I tried the demo and I can't stop playing it! I'm purchasing the full game as soon as the PSN is up.

Edit: the full game is great! The tracks are awesome and quite hard, and I love the crafts!

I think you should choose between,Burnout and Grid.But if you are a GT fan i think you should wait for GT5.

Don't get PAIN. I got it for free and it's not that fun for me. There is only one level so it's pretty much a waste of money.

I think you should choose between,Burnout and Grid.But if you are a GT fan i think you should wait for GT5.

I just started playing God of War for my PSP and love it (never played GoW before). So I was looking at my PS3 options.

Which do you think is better- Conan for $25 or Heavenly Sword for $60. Conan is definately derivitive as heck and HS feels a bit different, but at that price difference, I kind of think Conan might be a better option.

I've been waiting around to get a PS3 for a long time, when I heard that there was gonna be a MGS4 bundle I was really excited. I'm going to get that one but I want to know, what games would you guys recommend me? I'm not big on sports games, the only ones I liked were Madden and Fifa but ever since Fifa 2005 I never liked any of the next ones. I mostly like FPS and action/adventure games.

What are your suggestions? You can include upcoming games.

Sure thing, both Conan and Heavenly Sword are pretty short games, on average 7 hours each. For 25$ Conan is a good choice, I'm not sure where you shop but you should be able to find Heavenly Sword for 30$ this days.

I also very strongly recommend you play HS, fantastic game.

If you liked GTA, you'll like burnout paradise. There's a mode where cars are trying to take you down. I know I'll be playing this game for a long time.

I also like Warhawk because it has online split-screen, but it has no single player. It's pretty hard if you're alone though. You'll like this if you like dogfights.

Sorry, I live in China so prices are much slower to drop (though they usually start about $5 cheaper than they would be in the US). I just saw Conan for $25 on Play-Asia.

Actually, searching through Taobao (like the Chinese Ebay), I found HS for $30 and went with that. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Well its that time, time i need to buy a new game. im 17 and low on the moneys so buying this game requires delicate and important thinking, and some of your help to.

im pulled between two games, unreal tournament 3, and rainbow 6 Vegas 2.

Always been a fan of unreal, loved the bot killing and the simple pleasure gained from "HEADSHOT". now i have heard a lot of hate for UT3 from the fans, no voice chat, less mods etc etc. i have never liked UT for the usual reasons, i never even got into the online side of it which is apparently what its all about. i just love killing bots.

rainbow 6:v was brilliant, i loved its style of play, but the online, while fun was laggy and broken. for me online is important with Rb6v2 and its what i will buy it for.

call of duty 4 is a game you can play for a long time, online doe cod4 is competitive and fun. id go with that over bp

I'm getting a ps3 as soon as I can find a mgs4 bundle. My plans are to get gta4, god of war (I never had a ps2) and mgs essential collection (never played the metal gear solid games so I figured I'd catch up) and it comes with mgs4. Ok, so I really want a competitive, quality online shooter. Obviously I'm getting gta4 for the campaign but is the online mode competitive or is it just something where people mess around in? If so I'm gonna have to get cod4 (or is warhawk better if all i care about it the online?). Similar question: I hear gta4 has an online racing mode... burnout paradise would really appeal to me(I love burnout 3 takedown), but is the racing mode in gta good enough so that it wouldn't make sense to spend another 60 on burnout? also, with everything I'm already getting, it would probably be an overkill for me to get assassin's creed, too, huh? (I'm asking because I found it used for $23 including shipping)..... I can't wait till I have a game system again! (I sold my 360 about 6 months ago because I was really struggling to pay rent, car insurence, etc. but I'm flourishing now lol
