this guy is taking a year break from school to play mw2 *UPDATE*

i don't really know him personally but he's my friend's friend.

He is taking a year off from college to rank up in the new MW2 for ps3.

I don't know if he was serious but I don't see why any one would do that?

so i talked with my friend today because i started to realize that this is a really REALLY poor decision to take a whole year off to rank up in MW2 (when it comes out of course). So i asked my friend, "is he really taking a year off to play or did he just say that to fool around?" and it turns out that he is only taking a semester off of school to play, and im guessing summer is included so that still is pretty bad, but not as bad as a whole year. im guessing he wants to be top in the leaderboards haha.

For a person who (somewhat) recently got his BS degree, this kind nonsense really bothers me. How the hell can anyone take a break like that at a time when you need to buckle down and get your **** together for the future...? Now is the best time to be in school/college considering the current unemployment rates, so that by the time the reversal hits, you'll be fully ready to enter the workforce with confidence. But if you're dragging your education out just to play games, you're digging yourself into a hole that could be very difficult to come out of (especially without someone to intervene in your lax lifestyle).Rakuho

I double majored in Finance and Business Administration, with a minor in Real Estate.

This honestly has to be some kind of joke or exaggeration from the guy, because I just can't picture anybody completely dropping all classes for a year just to get in some game time. Worst case scenario I've seen when I was in college were people taking the minimum courses required to be full time students just so they could spend most of their time playing online shooters. I think your friend's friends is just really excited about the game and exaggerating his playing schedule. Hell, I've done the same thing myself for games I was hyped about.
