lol and where r his parents in all of this. Parents are supposed to advise their kids on whats right and wrong and should help him set his priorities straight.

Another idiot...
BTW i have A+ in all my classes. i have 110% in math and spanish. doesnt mean i like school.I am a senior in college graduating in the spring, and there is no way in hell i would risk school (and the money i have spent to go) for a video game. I mean this guy honestly disgusts me. How does that, its so extreme, its a **** video game vs your education and job future. Tell him to tell his buddy to get his **** together god damn
who on earth does that? what a stupid decision. waste a waste of a life.
i know someone in my class who regularly doesn't attend school just to play wow. do you know what happened? because he didn't come to school for over 80 days in one year, he can't get his year 10 school certificate, basically this means he can't get a job. any job worth doing, he's automatically denied. because of wow, his life is permanently ****ed.
NEVER put gaming ahead of education.

Being a master in CoD won't make you get a good job, education will.
lol u must be very rich. u luckyi really dont see a problem with this. In fact, my spring semester of senior year and my fall semester of my freshmen year in college I didnt go to any class, I just played videogames. If my parents were not so rich they would have been so mad that i was throwing their money away but they figured it was a stage and that id grow out of it. I did start going back to school but right now im seriously considering taking a bread off from college again during the next semester so I can play modern warfare 2 as well as some ps2 games i have that i have not played yet :P

You people do realise there are MANY many jobs involving gaming. If he gets good he may be able to do something with his skills. (he or she)
[QUOTE="stygiansanity"]that's quite pathetic.raven_squadIt's utterly, completely, undeniably, immeasurably pathetic.
this^
His life, his choice. Not everyone holds education at the top of their priorities. If this makes him happy and enjoy life, then so be it. To call him pathetic or anything else is all a matter of judgement and perception. I only wish I had the means to the same but for different reasons or at least a better game.
Actually, there's isn't a lot. Testers, proffesional gaming and game developing. That's basically it. And testing is nothing like what people imagine, proffesional gaming isn't even considered a job title I don't think and game developing takes an unreal amount of learning and you have to be amazingly good at your job to get into the higher developers. You people do realise there are MANY many jobs involving gaming.
