sadly my favorite isnt made anymore, thats parasite eve.. that and final fantasy 7, i loved final fantasy on the NES, but 7 on the playstation revived it. oh and i guess resident evil too, but silent hill was better.
but for the xbox franchise i would have to say halo. and the whole tom clancy games like ghost recon and rainbow six on live..
I was unfortunate to not have a playstation but I was sucked into the Playstation franchise with the PS2 and that game was FFX. I watched a friend play that game and was got me hooked was the CG opening cut scene and blitzball. It was all over for me from there. I have loved playstation ever since.
I am going back and trying to find those old PS games that are worth owning and playing. Does anybody have any suggestions as to which I should look into buying?
I had almost 200 hours on my saved game when I finally beat it. No game I have ever played since contended with it. I thought it was that good. I have owned Playstation consoles ever since.
MGS for PS , that game was unbelievable at that time ( and still is for me ) , the story, the gameplay, interaction with player , those are the key factors that amazed me for some time.hailltoyou
the fact that there r now 22 pages or responses says it all...sony is the best..LOL...for me it would have 2 b MGS...final fantasy and crash...so many more..great sports titles..a real wrestling franchise...tekken..arguably the greatest fighting sim ever made..i don't know there r so many...Tony Hawk..i dont know the list goes on
Resident evil MGS great innovative games Metal gear when u had to switch the controllers around genious! And resident when that zombie turns and looks at you when u walk in the room i nearly creamed in my pants lol
In my case I used to have the nes, and then the Snes (i've been always the RPG freak)... I was kinda dissapointed that the N64 was so lame in the RPG department, and then i saw this and my life changed forever :)

Fantastic Four (For the original Playstation) was the first Playstation game I played and loved it. I was like 7... and liked the dumb simple games back then (It was alot better then the movie rehash I'll admit).
Then was Twisted Metal 2, then Metal Gear Solid, then Final Fantasy 7. After that when I was old enough not to have nightmares... Silent Hill and Resident Evil.
What a great topic! This discussion is leading me to think that PS1 was the greatest video game system ever made. But now to answer the question... I first got a sony playstation for Christmas. The moment I started to play (you guys will probably laugh at this) The Lost World: Jurassic Park...I was hooked. It looked so amazingly real, and it had DINOSAURS IN IT!!!! What kid doesn't love dinosaurs? I also got Crash Bandicoot, everyone loves that one. MGS is probably my favorite console game of all time, but I was hooked to SONY long before then. I loved the suspense of Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2. Silent Hill scared the poo out of me. I remember playing Twisted Metal 2 an entire summer. Syphon filter was crazy, I loved the tazer that set people on fire. I even loved the crappy games...Tomorrow Never Dies...almost comical now. OH!!!! And I almost forgot....a game I LOVED so much, and I don't believe anyone has said yet was BLACK DAWN. It was a helicopter combat game, it was so awesome and fun...I just remember the guy yelling when you were about to die "Get the hell outta there!" Oh man, I love you SONY.
