What's your price cutoff for the new console?

I would pay 450 euro.

I will most likely do like I did with the PS3 , wait until it had been out for awhile and the price dropped. Even then I waited until a game came out that I just had to have GOW3, before buying it. RollinKaos

You can't use that as justification to "bash people" because the Internet is nothing BUT people who disagree. So that's not a valid excuse. There are a lot of things people like that I hate, but I don't go around using that as an excuse to start arguments with people.

400... Either way I plan on waiting at least a year or two so they can fix any problems with the console & release a Slim version. I still have a ton of PS3 games to catch up on and plenty of new releases this year to add to the pile so I won't mind waiting.

My limit seems to be $400.00 for the console itself. Plus a game $60.00. So $460.00-$500.00. It did buy Xbox 360 at launch, Then bought the Gears of War LTD bundle console for $400.00. Bought a brand new PS3 40GB for $400.00. Spent $400.00 for PSvita and games at launch.

I didn't buy PS3 at launch. Only bought it brand new when it was $400.00, Also bought the first PS3 slim brand new at $299.99.

Sony PS4 should be more reasonable. So I wouldn't expect another $599.99 launch price. Not in such a poor world economy

399. Wont be that at launch, no chance in hell and even if it was I would pass on it. Chances are there will be hardware issues or something like the ps3 had until the slim came out. Ps3 will still be super popular for several years after ps4 comes out.

$299-$399. If any of the new consoles are over that then I am gonna stick with my PS3 and PC until a price drop is confirmed along with a decent set of games

Right now, I'd say $399, but that's negotiable as the year goes on.  I think the launch games will play a big part in my decision.

You still don't get the big picture. You do not understand, so I will provide you with a few imaginative examples to help you understand.

That is exactly what I am against. That is a large reason why I hate current gen games. 

Okay, another example. I hate Clone of Duty. However, imagine you love Clone of Duty. I'm sure you know what the games are like. Imagine you love Clone of Duty but all of a sudden they stop making them into PAAGGs (Play As A Gun Game), and instead only make them into strategy or puzzle games. Are you going to be happy?

In both those examples, I just proved how video game developers can be trolls and screw over the fanbase.

Anyhow, Sony will have to provide much more than just shooters next gen if they ever expect me to buy a PS4. Unlike the PS3, the PS4 will need more good games than I can count on two hands. 6+ years have I owned a PS3 waiting for proper turn based JRPGs, that I never got. 6+ years waiting for good games, to get no more than I can count on two hands.

Sony didn't screw you, if your not content with the content then move along to another console/PC or stay in the past. Nothing wrong with replaying classics until "good" things come out. Secondly, you can't compare Nintendo's rehashes with Sony's.  OF COURSE Uncharted 1-3 share a similar look.  They're made using the same console, using the same engine, starring the same characters, going on similar treasure hunting adventures.  What an awful example.  The same goes for Killzone.  And how DARE three racing games that use real makes and models of cars all use the same model of car!  Meanwhile, for the last FOUR generations, Nintendo has been content to do the following: Zelda game using the Ocarina of Time blueprint, Mario 3D game, Mario side scrolling game (reusing the same assets each time, btw), Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Smash Bros, with little to no innovation each time for all but the 3D platformers. And while we're at it, I didn't see any screenshot comparisons of the Metroid Prime series, WHICH ALL LOOK THE SAME.    Are any of the Nintendo games I just listed bad?  Absolutely not.  But to conjure up a misleading fanboy pic to prove your deluded point is laughable at best. 

I truly hope that you don't buy a PS4, because I have no interest in hearing you complain about how it (and Sony) doesn't cater to you.

That means a lot more games have to sell to be successful. Developers are just making games for the market to stay in business. We are seeing companies close left and right and you acutally think it is a good idea for them to focus on a minority of "true gamers." Really?
