With the announcement date having been revealed, and amid the inevitable speculation of the PS4 (assuming that's the name) on such things as new hardware and backwards compatibility, one thing I'm sure to speculate on is the price. The PS3 launch price was $500 and $600, which stopped quite a few gamers from buying it, despite the hype. What would be your cutoff for the price of the next console that'd stop you from getting it? I know I'll be waiting at least a couple years, since I'm not willing to pay more than $300 for a console. But that'll probably change once I see the reveal and whatever features it might have.  Granted, I still think it's better to wait until a newer, slimmer version of the console comes out with a bigger hard drive and slashed price. That's worth the 2-3 year wait to me.Â
