As of right now, I'm not counting on anything.
I don't care about what anyone says about the game or any "facts" about it being 25% this and 50% that.
I'm just excited purely for the fact that I will get to meet my good friend Nathan Drake once more.
Like I've said before, it could be a RTS game for all I care, but I'd still love it. Uncharted has one of the most engaging main characters on the PS3.
Well, the first Uncharted did not really have original gameplay, so I don't know what you're complaining about. I highly doubt it'll be like MGS at all.hillelslovakHow did it not have original gameplay?

The cover system was fairly remeniscient of Gears of War.

It was great fun though but the gameplay was sort of a platformer meets tomb raider. Still Im really looking forward 2 uncharted 2 I've just finished the first part and cant wait to play some more!

But it was released only ten days after Gears of War, they were developed at equal times. And the shooting was standard tps fare. Uncharted was great because it blended great graphics, story, and shooting. That does not mean it was original.[QUOTE="Scianix-Black"][QUOTE="HarshGamer"] How did it not have original gameplay?HarshGamer

All I remember is everyone saying how it was Gears of War in the jungle.
Either way, I still stand by my first post.

Just because it has stealth elements does not mean it'll be an MGS clone. I can be done fine. The cover system was fairly remeniscient of Gears of War.

I completely disagree. Stealth elements in games give you more options to have fun with the AI depends what those elements are. I'm with every developer adding stealth to their action adventure games because it's really fun and more intense than just shooting around left and right which gets boring. If you can do both in Uncharted 2, it's perfect. It's good for a change. Don't expect Octo-camo, CQC, Cardboard boxes and the Metal Gear Mark II to be in the game though. :P A tranquilizer gun would be a perfect add-on to the weapons list in Uncharted.Sneaking is FUN and INTENSE! I can't wait.null_is_zeroYou disagree because you own the whole MGS series and you have Snake on you're avatar/user icon.

I KNEW IT!
HAH!
And like I said, I don't really care what the gameplay is like at this point. I just want the game.
Gears 1 was released one year before Uncharted...Ultrabeatdown55Oh, true, lol. I looked at the date only, not the year.

I don't see what you're complaining about. There is nothing from gameplay to story line that's original. I felt that Uncharted was a melting pot for everything that worked in games and films previously. In the case of Uncharted, they came away with something great.
I enjoyed almost everything in the game except for the trigger point programming. For those who don't know, trigger points are invisible square areas you walk on to trigger the enemy to react. However, we are seeing better AI programming every year. Specifically in MGS we've seen them triggered, not just by your location, but line of sight as well. The enemies could hear you, see your shadows, trace your steps, see your breath in the cold, etc...
Plus, what's so bad about having the option to sneak past an enemy? If you don't like it, just run and gun your way through.
I felt that Uncharted was a clever mix of Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider, and Prince of Persia. Adding more influences to that formula only sounds good to me.

Gears came out in November of 2006 and Uncharted came out November of 2007 lol.
Uncharted's gameplay was ANYTHING but original, they took Tomb Raider and Gears of War and then spliced them together.

True, but still hope that it's just minor things like hiding in the snow or something.
why would someone hide in a frickin snow man!???
*huh? what is that noise?*
*Nathan hides in snow*

*Enemy stays there for a while*
*Nathan can't move, he might alert the enemy*
*Nathan dies from cold*
