mine froze on the broswer too. i guess not to use it anymore. it froze twice on it

True. My Atari 2600 still freezes, same with my Gameboy, NDS, N64, PSone, etc.

They all freeze up on time or another.

a couple of time on Enchanted arms and Oblivion, a little more when exiting folding@home

some times when internet surfing but could exit after 10+ minutes

i was playing CoD4 and my PS3 froze... and it never turned back on... and i had only owned the system for less then a month and rarely used it, so once again another Sony system that is a piece of junk and breaks.... go Sony! (i ended up buying a new one though just so i could have it for MGS4 lawls)chuckdee420

Morrowind freezes for everybody. All of the interactable items in the gameworld are far too much for the programming or something like that...it was too ambitious.

once when i was playing resistance and once when i was playing a demo of folklore, it isnt serious is it? does anybody know why it happens?

Seems like the only SONY related freezes are because of the internet browser.

Games are really the dev's fault and they send out patches to fix those problems, I'm talking to you Ubisoft (AC). (however Sony doeshave firmware patches that make PS3 more efficient)

The PS3 has been out for over a year, if the freezing was taking too much from gameplay, or if it happened way to often then it would have a firmware update and sites everywhere would be, yet again, sticking Sony news everywhere.

yeah my other ps3 froze in the XMB for no reason. i reset it no problem

Sometimes when I play different game it will freeze on me.

However, keep in mind that it's not because of PS3, but it's the games fault itself. PS3 has been released steady and decent upgrades for it's firmware and so far they have been very good.

The next time game freezes on you, it's not because of your PS3 not working properly..

Yeah the browsers is annoying. I hope there is a firmware update on that soon. Mine froze twice in one day cause of that. it was twice in a row.

Mine only froze during this summer when I was using the Internet Browser since I didn't own a computer of any kind at the time. I was out of the gaming loop so bad then...
