Any game that gets a 9 or higher gets insulted and people always say that they are overrated. It is just the fact with big games that hit their hype scores they always get criticized.
Plus the 200 flying rats is way to much for just 1 thing.

Thats another thing the game suffers from; lack of content, GTA4 removed alot of new stuff added thru VC and SA, and R* didnt even bother to make up for it so you end up with stuff like the unlocks being; woah! a Rastah colored SUV! or; amazing! a helicopter with guns that you can find in the game without kill the damn pigeons anyway.... The whole excuse for this was 'realism' but thats a lame excuse! Seriously, once you've cleared the game and go thru the hard work of killing all of the 200 pigeons you can exspect something abit more interesting.
I've got a feeling 360's achevements have something to do with this, R* just said "Ok, well people will want to do all this stuff for the gamer score, so we dont need to add any other prizes", wouldnt surprise me if other games got this threament to... We're pretty much trading content for ego points, its lame and its coming to PS3...

I think because it a big contender against MGS4 for the game of the year and some people think MGS4 should be game of the year so they say its overrated not that everyone is like that but some people are.
I think if i put in over 20 hours into it just to play the full game its good enough for me.
yea very overated game...didn't deserve a ten or even a nine i would give it a 7.5. Basically it didn't feel like a gta game and alot of the stuff in the game felt downgraded.
Because it got a perfect 10 and it has enough flaws that it didn't deserve the 10. Don't get me wrong. It is my favorite game I have for my PS3 and think it is awesome. Just not 10 awesome. I could see a 9.5 being excepted by most because the flaws it has aren't serious ones that hurts the gameplay really. More like graphic glitches.
GTA IV is 10/10 and it's not just like Gamespot thought so, either. Deal with it. The majority gave GTA IV a 10/10. Nothing's overrated, because it's pointless to argue others opinions and act like your opinions carry more weight than theirs. Just scroll down and see all the proessionals that say its a 100, I'm pretty sure any one of them has a higher regarded opinion than 99.999999% of the people posting on the boards. Its not overrated, its just not for everyone.
