@zaryia:

1. Your states have the highest poverty rates

2. Worst Economic Outlook

3. Largest wealth gap.

I proved those with links and all you did was refuse to read them. Thus proving that liberal policies don't work. All you did was post charts using outdated measures.

https://www.bestplaces.net/cost-of-living/louisville-ky/portland-me/57000

Look for yourself. Compare any city you want. The massive gap in cost of living does not make up for the small income increase. I'm sorry you are wrong.

Red herring.

I never mentioned or discussed economic outlook or wealth gaps. Those are issues in Blue states. I'm fully aware.

My statement was, Blue states have better conditions overall from the 8 factors I specifically listed. This is reflected in all research on the matter,

Economic Outlook doesn't change how they currently rank.

Having more homeless people doesn't stop them from having a higher average income, health, and education. This is what we like to call a red herring.

Resulting in the 2 maps you see above.

@zaryia: That's why I mentioned the wealth gap. Blue states have some of the wealthiest people in the country this boosting the median income rates of those states. I've already proved this. How else does a state have a higher median income yet a far larger homeless rate while sporting the largest wealth gaps in the country?

To make it easy rich elites boost there numbers while more people suffer. AKA leftist policies

Bullshit.

+I post 10+ Sources, and over 8 maps (clearer and newer than his) which show exactly what I'm saying. Pure data. None which have been objectively refuted.

"@n64dd said: You just posting a whole bunch of links"

-He finally posts ONE relevant link (after 2009 blogs nonsense), and even manages to post the wrong image from that link (a link which agrees with me btw).

"@n64dd said: /rekt"

If you aren't trolling, which I am 99% sure you are considering your post history, the alternative is that you're very stupid in real life. I'm not sure which is worse.

@n64dd said:

Facts don't care about your feelings. Each one of my links is validated data that confirms each one of my bullet points. Directly. No guess work, no arm-chair theory, the links show what I'm saying. Multiple maps using the official Census Bureau, Federal and World Health Organization. These are valid. And yes they adjust for cost of living. I even quoted that part in multiple posts. He ignores it and pretends they don't. He's tricking you.

@n64dd said:

back out when questioned.

Questioned without citation, or with red herrings. Or with straight up lies. A majority of his questioning assumes I'm not adjusting for cost of living or SPM. But the two main links I'm using specifically USE THESE methods. The links even state this. Apart from that SPM has nothing to do with health and education being far worse in RED states.

Red states have worse living conditions overall on average.

Red states are the takers. Blue states are the makers.

I won the debate because the above two sentences are still factually accurate and can be cited from over 20 valid sources, with 3 directly stating worse overall states when looking at all measures as I am. No military spending. Adjusted for cost of living.

P.S. You're defending a guy who said Red States objectively far worse health conditions are untrue because Republican Politicians look better. I sure could have used your /rekt when I obliterated him on that. Now that was a real /destroyed.

Hmm, perhaps if Red states education wasn't also in the shitter these fallacies would happen less.

I said states, not conservatives. I'm happy for successful, healthy, and educated conservatives in Blue states and counties.

Also that attractiveness study doesn't counter Obesity at all. Or health. It was a shitty red-herring, I hadn't said Obesity was completely a result of policy at that point.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4692249/

As societies in the developed world mobilize resources to stem the obesity epidemic and its predictable downstream consequence of higher health care costs, more policies are being adopted through legislative support and action (Hersey et al., 2010; Welch et al., 2012). It is plausible, as evidenced by this first-pass examination of the association between county-level voter preferences and obesity risk prevalence, that there is a link between the political philosophy of locally elected officials and the obesity risk of their constituents.

As N64DD would say, /rekt

What the hell are you talking about. What are you debating.

Red States have higher Obesity than Blue states. Red Counties have higher Obesity than Blue counties.

One example does not change these solid averages.

Both are true. These are facts. That study I just posted is simply suggesting policy does effect it, contrary to your yet again incorrect arm-chair theory.

The multi-sectoral approach includes nutrition and physical activity policies implemented in schools, workplaces, community parks, and neighborhoods. Republicans have generally opposed the multi-sectoral approach to reducing obesity risk, instead preferring a personal responsibility approach.

I can almost assuredly find same studies for Red's shitty education. Resulting in lower HDI and lower Rankings.

You're trying to debate that the sky isn't blue at this point. You're arguing to argue. You're embarrassing yourself.

Well i mean he is not all wrong. I mean you should try to be more grateful than complain. The term "dont bite the hand of the ones who feeds you" comes to mind meaning dont take what people give you for granted or they may stop helping you. In either case you should try to fight for better policies in what you see as right

ok I am jumping in a bit.

I intentionally live in one of those low cost of living heavy red state areas because I want to retire soon and I dont care about socializing.

if i did want to connect with people I would not live here for sure. I see a lot of poverty of top of all that, real deal white red neck stereotypical poverty.

@zaryia: I'm debating its relevance you buffoon. This is your problem none of your arguments are in any way relevant. You said red counties are fatter than blue counties... ok so your saying conservatives are more likely to be fat based off the sect few people that vote in each county.

When in fact conservatives are more attractive then liberals.

https://www.google.com/amp/www.indy100.com/article/conservatives-republicans-more-attractive-left-wing-lefties-hotter-rolfe-daus-peterson-carl-palmaer-8181196%3famp

And no this study doesn't just analyze politicians.

Your a buffoon with no relative arguments. Here's the facts. Liberal states have

Higher poverty based off the SPM

Worse economic outlook

Highest rate of homeless

Libs have lower income overall and are less attractive. Those are facts posted by my links. Your going by a county basis and judging an entire group by the few people that actually vote. Your a clown its as simply simply as that.

Is this real life?

Red States and Red Counties are more obese. These states and counties have more conservatives. They also have far lower health standards. These are objectively worse health conditions. As stated by the World Health Organization. States and Counties that vote red are more obese, and the policies put by Republicans do not help with this. The OP is correct when it comes to health and obesity. These people are voting themselves into worse conditions.

The multi-sectoral approach includes nutrition and physical activity policies implemented in schools, workplaces, community parks, and neighborhoods. Republicans have generally opposed the multi-sectoral approach to reducing obesity risk, instead preferring a personal responsibility approach.

You posting a study that says Conservative POLITICIANS are more attractive does not refute those 2 facts.

Jesus Christ.

@zaryia: Depends on your standard for worst.

Those maps dont feature the SPM.

Dont factor in cost of living

Don't factor in the fact your more likely to be homless.

Dont factor in worst economic outlook.

Given that criteria red states are not worse.

They factor in most of those things. They don't factor in economic outlook because they are looking at the current state of things. It's not a prediction map.

P.S. I'm glad you agree Red Areas are fatter and unhealthier. I'm also glad you agree this is in part due to Republican policies. The thread title couldn't ring more true when it comes to health and education. The end result is a lower HDI, worse places to live.

@zaryia:

"The researchers claim that never before has the effects of physical attractiveness on politics been examined on this level and that there is "good reason to believe that individuals’ physical attractiveness may alter their political values and worldviews".

They said that their findings prove attractive people tend to lean towards the right because they have better social skills and are more popular, competent and intelligent due to the "halo effect"

Again has nothing to do with politician's. It's a study of peoples political views. The problem with your argument is you leave out the fact there are far more red counties then blue counties. Yet far more people in one blue county then most red counties. Again it's an irrelevant argument.

Red states have a higher obesity rate than Blue states have a homeless rate.

Red and Blue income and poverty aren't too far apart (with Red having a bit more poverty and a bit less income), but the Health and Education gap is very big. The result is Blue states having higher Human Development Index.

Your opinion is noted, but the averaged data speaks for itself

@zaryia: wrong.. blue has more poverty and the worst poverty proven by the fact that 9 out of the top 10 states with the most homeless are deep blue states.

Yes the data speaks for itself. I feel political policy reflects the economy you think it causes you to be fat. Cool story!

And stop posting the HDI which doesn't even use the SPM. You posted that irrelevant map a dozen times.

Red-Herring. Poverty rate is not the same measure homeless rate. Which is why there are different graphs for these. Poverty graphs show red states leading. Red states have higher poverty and lower average income when taking the average of all 50 states.

You can't be this dumb.

Oh and far worse education and health. Resulting in a lower HDI.

That last map I posted is not HDI. But it agrees with HDI results.

It takes the economy, health, and education of each state.

I will continue to post both.

@zaryia: No they dont. With the SPM red states are leading. I already linked a website that shows the minor income advantage in blue states does not make up for the cost of living differences. You can ignore it but the link exist. Based off the SPM blue is worse off.

Regardless you should stop talking about income as its proven regardless of what state you live in conservatives are on average more successful.

I know I am just one person and do not represent the whole but I can tell you from direct experience that I am literally making 20% less then I did when I was working in Blue areas. same profession, same duties

which to be fair now that I have checked the cost of living index is exactly the same adjusted for cost of living
