Well you've got this odd situation where the Special Counsel has expanded his investigation to include the firing of Comey, which we know if nothing else by Comey's testimony that Mueller asked for the memos (why else would he need them?). Now, it's entirely possible that nothing comes out of that thread, but it just goes to Trump's inability to get out of his own way that in an effort to show everyone he was not being investigated, that he may brought himself under investigation.
Jeff Sessions got hit by a pretty big bus in this hearing. Comey states a lot of his decision making to not go to Sessions was motivated by facts the FBI knew about Sessions but could not share in a public setting.
Anyway, it's a waste of time to re-try the case with every new scrap of data. I don't think there's enough pointing to Trump and I think both the left and the right give him far too much credit. You've got one side that looks at every thing he does and spins into genius and the other side that spins it to something nefarious. He's not the Kwisatz Hadderach, he doesn't work in mysterious ways; it's entirely possible he's just a moron. Secondly, let's not lose sight of the Russian involvement in our election and the French election out of a need to indict or exonerate Trump. Whatever else, that happened, and even if it didn't affect the vote totals in the end, you don't let the gunman off because he missed.
