A lot of hysteria, conspiracy theories, and melodrama from a group of people in desperate need of a civics class.
I'll explain, and SCOTUS judges have already explained this but certain people refuse to listen and push conspiracy theories about some great master plan.
Courts do not make law, they interpret laws as they are written, and enforce the constitution, that's it. It's not their job to ban this our outlaw that. If you want abortions made legal in all 50 states, there's a proper channel to do that, and it's called "congress." Since there is no federal law on the matter, the authority to write laws for or against falls to the states. Courts are not supposed to create legislation, make things legal, ban things, but too many people try to use courts to bypass the regular channels, which include elected representatives.
The correct thing to do would be to get rid of it, and if enough people want it to be law, then it's Congress's job to write a law, not SCOTUS'. For those of you who claim the majority of Americans want it?... Fine, the elections will reflect that, and it will be made into law. It's been 50 years since. The party who prides itself on "women's rights" including abortions have been in control of the White House and Congress simultaneously multiple times since and had no good reason not to make it a federal law, if that's what they really wanted. But what they really want is a wedge issue for election season, and that's why they haven't.
So instead of blaming the courts for actually doing their jobs, maybe you should be blaming congress for refusing to do theirs?
