Things were getting too politically correct to be honest. Obama may have been black, but underneath the skin color and nice smile was another old fat rich white guy in disguise.

Trump's attitude has caused people to unite like never before. Trump signed out of the paris Accord but individual states took up the responsibility instead and pushed ahead. His crazy welfare bill for the rich closed some loopholes and was conditional on companies creating jobs. An egotistical man like Trump promised people decent jobs and if companies don't deliver on that promise and instead enrich their stock holders, there might be some blow back. Nobody knows how crazy trump really is.

Great job trump, keep it up! I'd vote for him a second term if he keeps up his ways. It's good because he seems to scare the sht out of Republicans and Democrats in the Senate and Congress alike.

Frankly, I don't care if he's a racist, sexist, homophobe, troll or whatever else. He's just honest about it unlike alot of other people. Honesty goes a long way.

How can people losing their jobs sound like a good thing to you. And how can things becoming less biased and less discriminatory be a bad thing. Last time I checked those sort of negative B's was what's hurting the country.

Which ones? My understanding is that it did not close any loopholes? Also no, it was not a "conditional bill". There were no conditions that said companies stop getting tax breaks if they didn't create jobs.

We really shouldn't have to view the president as a common enemy that we need to unite against, but okay.

Has there been some history of blowback? It seems like the people who believe in tax cuts for the wealthy continue to believe it regardless of how it hurts the economy.

Trump is going to be good for the country in a few years (or less) when he self-destructs and takes the GOP with him. Or, even better, forces the GOP to get their shit together and bring themselves into the 21st century instead of trying to make this like the shitty 1950s.

well if the economy is doing so well because of Trump it seems logical that Enron, 9/11, 1 trillion dollar war and even the Housing scandle is all Bushs fault.

Interesting how the 8 years Obama was in office nothing like those things happend..lol

@tryit: Except Obama did experience a housing crash shortly after those who received his first time home buyers credit and couldn't continue to pay their Mortgage. I know i took advantage of it and got a great deal on a new home after the crash. That was a housing crash directly caused by his legislation. The first one was caused by allowing banks to use ARMS ( adustable rate mortgages) to scam their customers and I don't believe Bush created that.

so there you have it!

Enron, 9/11 and Iraq war is all Bushs fault

Housing collapse is Omabas fault.

you asked for it, you got it

@tryit: The left cares a whole helluva lot.

If Obama was some white dude named Dan Johnson, would Libs still so highly tout his “accomplishments” as President?

Shit no they wouldn’t

Liberals love to constantly pat themselves on the back over how “progressive” and “tolerant” they are.

yes the absolutely positively would.

the only people fixated on his color are people on the right, people on the left by an large dont give ^&*(.

The reason he was elected is NOT because he was black...he was elected because he was one of the few in government who did not vote for the Iraq war.

Now I personally actually do NOT think he is a great president, but compared to Bush 2 and Trump he absolutly is.

but I got to ask, why did you bring up race? what did I say that made you think to bring up race?

@LJS9502_basic: The withdraw from Nafta and the tax cut are legislation hes passed. Their is a reason the market went up considerably after the tax cut. So no we wouldn't thank Obama for the current economy. Will Trumps solution work for the long term? We don't know yet.

so 9/11 is Bushs fault because it happened on his watch? or are you saying becuase of a tax cut that doesnt apply this year has magically generated investment revenue now by magic.

@tryit: Enron wouldn't be any Presidents fault. He can't control corporate greed and he was punished to the full extent of the law.

9/11 had more to do with the Clinton administration since he massiely cut the defense and intelligent budget. And yes the Iraq War was Bushes fault.

Businesses look at how a proposed tax cut will effect them and plan accordingly. Apple for an example brought more jobs here because of the proposed tax cut. The market reacted positively because they new without question a tax cut was coming.

AH! I see, so its not related to whoever is president at the time when something happens.

I gotcha! very good then.

So its a tax cut that doesnt go into effect until next year and would take several years to have material impact is why companies are hiring now to fullfil all the order that are coming in from economic activity that is spured on by a tax cut in which there isnt a material output for a few years.

kinda find that hard to believe

AH! ok I gotcha now

so its all 100% speculation.

yup. I think you are correct.

That and also because business knows the US goverment for 4 years isnt going to give a crap what they do. they can pretty much do anything they like for 4 years, pollute streams, lie to investors, whatever.

yes..I would agree that all has a lot to do with it and I think its a bubble in the making.

@blaznwiipspman1: Nailed it. People focus on the man, Trump, instead of his accomplishments. His personality is exactly what was needed in Washington. And his business smarts. He's not someone I'd want to be friends with, but that's irrelevant. You know he's doing something right when the haters have to make up stuff or use rumors to degrade him. One thing I liked about Bill Clinton was that he made a human error... One that didn't affect the country. Looking forward to whatever is in store this year.

Yes the economy is in fact rising rapidly because of trump (and not just because he is in office at the same time) HOWEVER...its because of two reasons 1. specualtion and 2. that they know the goverment will allow them to do anything including liying to investors..

a bubble is being made

@tryit: Im not arguing the fact that it may not be succesful for the long term. But investors and corporations are at least positive so far about Trumps proposals. Could corporations take the tax cut and screw us all? Its possible. Could they bring those jobs and their money back to the US? (Money they would have otherwise hoarded in offshore accounts that wouldn't have been taxable at all) and create new jobs? Thats also possible.

My point is can we at least give him the benefit of the doubt instead of declaring him the worst president off all time based off one year in office and a few offensive comments? So far from an economic standpoint hes at least off to a good start.

no I dont think we can give him the benefit of the doubt. that ship sailed a LOOOONG time ago.

but I would agree that the ecomony itself for welathy people is better because a GOP person is president. But that is not saying much is it?

Truth is ANY GOP president would have fought for a tax cut of the rich, so not really surprised there.

I just am wanting to figure out when I should sell my stock before the deregulation of honesty crashes the economy

not much really, a tax cut and told some russians some secrets (yeah most people forgot about that conversation with him bragging to russians) and that is about it that has stuck

what?

so he tries to pass something, fails to pass it but the system reacts positively as if he did pass it?

that makes zero sense.

other than speak what has he put into actual policy? by all measures he IS just the talking but not doing president

to make the claim that things are better now becuase of what Trump has done one has to point to things he has actually done. not ask who is to blame for him not getting something done! Tax cuts have NOT affected the economy nor has his withdrawal. It takes months for change and he had no legislation in his first year. Also the market reacts to what may/may not happen. It's not a determinate in the economy.

LOL business smarts with multiple bankruptcies. LOL

@LJS9502_basic: Multiple bankruptcy just proves my point. You don't make it big if you don't take risk. You'd be amazed at how many successful business men have filed bankruptcy. Smart people take advantage of that provision. Moral people use it as a last option. You know which one Trump is.

bankruptcy aside for the moment, business are dictatorships. our goverment is not a dictatorship (or at least should not be) so having skills of being a dicator is not actually a good thing for our government regardless of how good you are at it.

@tryit: Businesses look at how a proposed tax cut will effect them and plan accordingly. Apple for an example brought more jobs here because of the proposed tax cut. The market reacted positively because they new without question a tax cut was coming.

AH! ok I gotcha now

so its all 100% speculation.

I believe lying to investors is a crime.

not if its deregulated.

which is exactly what the housing scandel was. They deregulated honesty making it legal to sell you something that is not grade A as if it was grade A
