The president of the United States took time out of his Thursday morning to attack ‘low I.Q.’ Brzezinski and her co-host fiancé ‘Psycho Joe’ Scarborough.

President Trump launched a hilarious personal attack on MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-hosts and love birds Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on Thursday morning, rather than deal with his health-care bill seemingly on death’s door.

“I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don't watch anymore),” the president tweeted minutes before the MSNBC morning show’s broadcast—which had been critical of the president—completed.

Instead of talking about my own feelings on the matter--and to be quite honest, they are all over the place--I'm going to try and view it from the opposite perspective and try and see how someone defending Trump would see it:

1. What does this have to do with his job? He is a politician, all he did was insult a TV show host, get over it!

2. It's not that big of a deal!

3. They attacked him first!

4. FAKE NEWS! (OK maybe not I don't even know how'd they say this, Trump said it, so it can't be fake...)

5. He is the president, and an American. He should be free to express himself! Stop stifling his right to free speech!

This is the man we elected, folks. This is, allegedly, the best we can do. He represents us to the world. To our countrymen. Our ideals.

All the talking points in defense of this center on the point that Trump is a "fighter" and "strong" that doesn't take shit from anyone. This is entirely missing the point. The presidency is so much bigger than any one person. When Trump speaks, he is not speaking just for himself, he is representing the entire nation.

Which is what makes this all so sad...he is intentionally demeaning the dignity of the office and our standing in the world by using the presidency largely as a platform to settle exceptionally petty and trifling squabbles between individuals that are far below the significance of the office he occupies. What the ****?? It's shameful and disgusting. Even worse, he knows what he's doing and simply doesn't care, nor do his supporters who are more than likely getting a great laugh from this. He is so narsissistic and vindictive that satiating his ego at America's expense he views as perfectly justifiable.

This guy is nothing but a pig who cares nothing for this country, and man is there going to be a national celebration the day he either croaks or is out of office.
