4. Any gimmick whatsoever                                                                                                                                                Â
5. Anything that has nothing to do with the 90's.
I want stuff like: Super Sonic in all levels, Not just the last.
Miles to follow and help Sonic.
Knuckles to be a villian again, with Gangsta Music!
Exactly! Seriously, there was a noob just like that on Vizzed(a forum I mod) a few days back. Let me quote what he (or she, we really don't know) said, on a thread about Needlemouse... Post #1 - " I have no idea why the Sonic games after SA2 were bombed by fans. I thought Sonic Heroes was awesome, I found Unleashed very hard but I thought it was cool, and above all, I thought Sonic '06 was the best 3D Sonic game. Why Sonic '06 was so hated is beyond me." Post #2 - " what do you mean awful graphics?! Sonic '06's Hi-def cutscene graphics were AMAZING quality, the same can be said for EVERY 3D Sonic game.'06 Also had one of the best, if not THE best storyline in the ENTIRE series. And people never gave Black Night a chance. A bunch of idiots said it was stupid to give Sonic a sword, and they've never even played the game. It's gameplay is GODLY, the best since games like Kid Chameleon. As for Heroes, it didn't have the best graphics outside of the hi-def cutscenes, but it was an early GameCube game. I thought it's storyline was pretty cool. And Shadow the Hedgehog is the best 3D Sonic game. Devil Doom is tough as nails, but that game is freaking awesome. The Sonic Riders games have no reason to be bombed, either. Those games are incredibly addicting, and they have awesome music. Having said all of that, Unleashed could have been better. The idea of a werewolf Sonic was a good one, but the execution failed. It was an alright game, though, but I found it real hard. I don't think the Sonic series has fallen at all. Every game from Sonic the Hedgehog to Black Night has been awesome, and I think the only reason it's hated by fans now is because SEGA always works with Nintendo, and everyone hates Nintendo nowadays. (for no given reason whatsoever)" Serious fanboy. Anyway, let me show you the picture one of my friends found... it's disturbingly true. http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/9319/831168-sonic_cycle_super.png PS: I would've linked it, but GS doesn't support BBCode, and I don't know HTML.I'm still waiting for all the nooby, Sonic X loving tweeners to come in and complain about the game.
OMG Shadowz not in it. It will suk.
you just ply az sonic? that be boring.
whrz silver n elise. Sonic 06 was the best gm evr and criticz r biazed!
Ths gmae will suk.
Personally these fans need to drink some lead paint and retard themselves out of existence.

Okay, Sonic '06 was NOT the best 3D Sonic game ever (although, as I've mentioned before, I ended up liking it after looking past all its problems)- that distinction goes to Sonic Unleashed or Sonic Adventure 1. Furthermore, how dare you acknowledge Shadow the Hedgehog as a game. That piece of garbage is a farce and should have never been created.Â
Â
The Black Knight was bad and so was The Secret Rings. The Black Knight was horrible, not for the fact that he had the sword (I actually welcomed that idea as I like the whole Sonic fairy tale sagas), but because the gameplay was horrific. I was very excited for that game but was severely disappointed in it. I will say that I was happy to see Super Sonic (of sorts) back in the game. Now, The Secret Rings was bad because you could not control Sonic. It was an on-rails game and all you could do was move left or right, it got very annoying very fast. If they had made these two games in the same fashion as they made Unleashed, they would have been awesome. I hope that with the next installment in the fairy tale escapade, that they learn from their mistakes and produce a great game. They could also do that game in 2D. Â
I understand but some fans will defend most Sonic games because they think carrying guns was awesome and people tend to like games that have guns in them now. Thats why so many people defend Shadow the Hedgehog. Same with Sonic and the Black Knight.Okay, Sonic '06 was NOT the best 3D Sonic game ever (although, as I've mentioned before, I ended up liking it after looking past all its problems)- that distinction goes to Sonic Unleashed or Sonic Adventure 1. I can't believe you prefered next gen over Secret Rings. The game is a pretty good start from Sonic on the wii, next gen failed in every way (excluding the music, it is just brilliant)
Sonic Next Gen was an epic fail because of the screwed up controls, long load times and just plain annoyance of the characters.
Â
I will get a PS3 on some time, now I will save from the disaster (but I will try Sonic Unleashed, since it is totally different to the Wii version, and I heard it is pretty good)Sonic Next Gen was an epic fail because of the screwed up controls, long load times and just plain annoyance of the characters.

Yeah Unleashed was better, but not by much from some people.

I can take the werehog to play the beatiful looking day stages (they look so great), it is funny GS actually give it a lower score than next gen. It will be a nightmare if my parents found that game cheap and give it to me as a present because they know about my love to Sonic games, and I'm short tempered, those glitches will make me kill somebofy
[QUOTE="dalejrgamer"]Fall onto the dreaded SONIC CYCLE:
Hyper_Hedgehog
Huh... new version.
Anyway, I won't be fooled again! Honestly!
Though it might be Sonic's triumphant return. :P
I fell into that with Sonic and the Black Knight

I do think the critics were a bit harsh with Unleashed on the 360/PS3. I mean how did that, a game with a lot of polish score lower than a game full of bugs and glitches? It doesn't make sense. I think GI's review giving a six seemed the most fair. The game had polish and played well but the werehog was slow, repetitive, and boring. Then again I don't know how game reviews work. It seems like if you want to get a perfect 10, you need to be a brown/gray shooter and be an overhyped sequel and then weeks later, when the hype dies down, everyone realizes the game wasn't that great (see GTAIV).

I think the same over San Andreas, the guys don't even move their mouths while talking! I like mostly games with franchises (only 1 M rated, Metal Gear Solid), but I'm always open to other experiences (except when the money is out of my reach :P). At the end, the Xbox 360 got a Metacritic score of 6.1 and the PS3 version a 5.9 (Gamespot gave them the lower score)
Most of the reviews are utter unreliable. IGN gave Need for Speed: Shift a 9 even though the line between arcade and simulation is severely blurred (seriously...they reward you points for dirty driving?).
Remember Jeff Gerstmann?

It wasn't really meant for the xbox 360/PS3, it was more intended for the wii.
This thing has the potential to become something worth being optimistic about, also.
Whoops. Hold that thought...
It's another collaborative effort from Nintendo and SEGA. I should've known...
EDIT: AND I see that Kbaily beat me to posting the pic in another thread. My punch got no juice?
-SpikyBlueHero-
As silly as it sounds, it might not even be a sonic game after all! the silhouette's head kinda looks like Pulseman! and the bouncing blue thing (in the trailer) is one of his special attacks!
of course, GAMEFREAK made Pulseman, not SEGA, so i'm just being sarcastic. So im just wondering, how long exactly do you think Sega has been working on this project?
