Bear in mind that early previews are ALWAYS somewhat positive. Look at games in the past that early on had mostly positive previews but then the actual reviews came out and they were slammed. Plus rumors are abound that MS is paying off some bloggers to be more positive about Kinect but as it stands right now, preorders are very low.

And I doubt any Sonic fan would go out and buy a $150.00 peripheral for a Sonic spinoff game. Even if Kinect is functional, no one sees it either A) winning over the "hardcore" Xbox 360 users or B) sucking the market the Wii already has a four year head start on.
It's funny now that these previews are trying to be positive when there were so many articles in the post-E3 wake talking about how it didn't read movements sitting down, couldn't support more than two people, etc.
And even in another thread where we polled "What Sonic game do you want the most?" no one selected "Free Riders." And that's understandable with a great retro reboot and what could possibly the first truly great 3D Sonic game, as I said none of us want to go spend $150.00 on an overglorfied eyetoy that will probably only end up having as many games as the 32x did just to play a Sonic spinoff. That isn't to say down the road they'd port it. I wouldn't mind seeing a version that works with the Wii Balance board. I actually had some fun with some of the Balance Board games with Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics.
^Remember, this is SonicSpot, of course no one's most interested in Free Riders. We only got 15 voters anyway. Check the Gamespot numbers, it's got, well, 161 people tracking it (Including me) and is on 38 wish lists. Okay, it's not doing good. mariostar0001I'd just buy a skateboard :P
I never said I was going, or expected anyone else, to buy Kinect for Free Riders alone. Kinect has its issues, but aside from Child of Eden this is obviously the crown jewel of its known line up thus far. And of course people want Colors and Sonic 4 more. SEGA is focusing more of its attention on those games. But that doesn't make it the worst Sonic game ever, as a lot of people here seem to have implied. Being released for a peripheral that is likely to fail and being less interesting than other Sonic games doesn't mean you should bash it. It still looks like it will be fun to play.Bear in mind that early previews are ALWAYS somewhat positive. Look at games in the past that early on had mostly positive previews but then the actual reviews came out and they were slammed. It'd be six: Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing Sonic Colors Wii Sonic Colors DS Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 Sonic Free Riders And it would make seven in a row if you go back to 2009 and look at Winter Olympics.the potential for 4 good sonic games in one year?
THATS IMPOSSIBLE :P

I'd say 4 since Colors is a DS and Wii game.chocolate1325They're completely different games. Not even being developed by the same studio.

I think it's because I might have something against the Game Gear and their games' tendency to have the camera RIGHT UP IN THE CHARACTER'S FACE. As I said in my Sonic Blast review, Sonic needs to get a restraining order on the camera of most of his games.I would probably say '06, but I've never played it. The worst one I've actually played is probably Labyrinth, followed by 3D blast. Isometric + Sonic = Bad.sonicphc
What's weird is Sonic Next Gen I almost recomend actually playing if only to see how bad it is. Really. It's one of these games that at the onset it's just awful but as it goes on you see the potential what what a next generation Sonic game could've been then try to wrap your head around the story that yo yos between wacky fun and serious drama and the fact that game tries to cram so many game play elements together to where nothing is polished.

Well, if my roommate follows through on that "I'm buying a PS3 when I get up to school next year" thing he mentioned at the end of June, I plan on it. I mean, I can pick up the thing for $8 on Amazon, which is basically free when you add on top of that the part where I want to buy a $17 board game, making super-saver shipping, and then I get 10% off the whole order on top of that. I may keep a diary of the experience, just for kix. I'll also probably play Unleashed on that system, too. It seems like quite a different (and better) experience on that console.[QUOTE="kbaily"][QUOTE="sonicphc"]I would probably say '06, but I've never played it.
