Sonic CD really seems to be one of those love it or hate it type games.

Well there's the one side that appreciate the fact it sticks to what works, and it adds an interesting twist essentially making any level possibly 4 different levels in 1. However, it's way too short regardless, and like I mentioned, the object placement was weird and you could tell some stuff was randomly placed when you switch time periods. Overall I loved the game but not as much as the Genesis titles.Cloud_765

The only thing I diddnt really like about Sonic CD was how easy the bosses where. Some only needing 3 hits. The only good boss was that race with Metal Sonic.

I also had a slight problem with that. And the last boss was sort of anti-climatic, plus you had to abuse the slight invincibility after taking damage to actually hurt the boss the first time for the most part. It was just sort of a laughable last boss to me.

That's a tough one but after playing through Sonic Labyrinth that I am now convinced that it's the worst Sonic game I ever played.

I thought Sonic Spinball on Genesis was bad until I beat this.

Why can't you run in the game at all?

It plays like a broken Sonic Spinball with horrible music and unspiring enemies.

I think I was on something when I said Sonic CD is the worst game. Yes, I hate it, but one game is worse...

Sonic 1 on GBA was a very rushed out port of a classic now if that was Sonic 2 I would be getting really piss about now.

I hope one day the world will see Sonic as one of video game's best mascots.

Sonic had more good handheld games.

The first seven Sonic games in the main series were really good.

Most of them are good enough for me to play.

Now Sonic Drift series was a boring Mario Kart clone.

Tails Skypatrol was the single worst game to play as Tails.

Yeah I didn't see Secret Rings or Black Knight as spinoff games. To me spinoffs are sports games, party games, racing games, etc.

I guess it's a matter of opinion.

At least Sonic has a time line unlike Zelda and Mario to some degree.

There's only a handful of things I don't like about both those games however I think they are great games despite a lot of people hating 3D Blast.

I still can't believe how bad ScrewAttack's Top 5 Worst Sonic Games list is I'm sorry but I felt it's one of their worst lists.

Mostly I was annoyed at Screwattack's list mainly because they could've stood to do a bit more research and the fact that Sonic only got five for each where Mario got separate top tens for both worst and best and you have to dig to find really bad Mario games. Some would say Sonic doesn't have 10 good games but some would beg to different especiallly if we're only going by the rule "have to be able to play as Sonic" which immediately puts SSBB on the list (since SSBM was included in Mario's list) also the "have to be able to play as Sonic" rule immediatly disqualifies Tails Skypatrol and Shadow's game but at least we don't have to face the wrath of the Shadow-tards. "derp, Shadowz kool cuz he shootz gunz and iz teh hardcorz!!!!1!111"

But some truly bad Sonic games that should've been on the list.

• Sonic Schoolhouse
• Sonic Drift 1 and 2
• Sonic Jam (Game.com)
• Sonic Spinball on the Game Gear (the Genesis game was ok, but the GG port is downright awful)

I don't get what people see in Sonic R and Sonic the Fighters I played both on the Gems collection and got tired of both after an hour to so. Maybe Sonic R was impressive when it came out but I wouldn't know, I was playing Mario Kart 64...LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD. Seriously, Sonic R has four terribly bland, generic tracks, slippery controls at best and music that sends anyone with taste in music into a psychotic rage. Sonic the Fighters can be beaten in half an hour with one button. Ask yourself this, "if these games didn't have Sonic's mug slapped on them would you have bothered with them?" The answer is no, there are just some fans so blinded by their ignorant fandumb that they're entire concept of reality has shifted to convince themselves they're not playing crap but if you removed the Sonic theme from said game, they would realize it was crap

On a side note, is it officially safe to say Sonic Free Riders deserves to be a contender for Worst Sonic game? Even if you kinda liked the Riders series, combining a so-so Sonic racing game with Microsoft's Eyetoy/32x mutant where you lean and waggle your arms in the air already sounds pretty bad. Seriously it may be one we don't get an official review for some time.

First off Sonic 3D Blast was okay.

Where is Sonic Labyrinth in your brief list of really bad Sonic games?

I do agree about them not including Super Smash Bros. Brawl since Sonic was a great character in the game.

That rule also prevents Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine for being on either list though I'm sure just about of it's history they would've put it on the worst just like our Mario 2.

Sonic R was better than Sonic the Fighters though after a while they do get boring.

Let me ask you a good question do you think Sonic 06 fits the fifth spot better than Sonic 3D Blast.

I don't get why so many hate that Sonic game since it has good songs as well as reusing some of the classic sound effects.

Even a song from the Genesis verision made it's way to Sonic Adventure now how do you explain that my friend.

I would've nominated Sonic 06 for their top five list. Sonic 3D Blast might have been tedious and slow but at least it was functional. Sonic Next Gen was flat out broken and unfinished. Even if you defend the beastiality love story, the numerous friends butting in, the tedious adventure questing and the actual gameplay that mostly just rehashed the same levels with a few changes, there's the fact the controls are sloppy and unresponsive, the endless bugs and glitches that unfairly send you to your death (Sonic's snowboarding or the high speed sections that control 100x worse than any Secret Rings stage), a spazzy camera that has nothing but hatred for your desire to look at things and the all too numerous loading screens.

To add insult to injury, Sega was pushing this as basically Sonic Adventure 3 and Sonic's big return to glory in a mature storyline for older gamers who were annoyed that Nintendo didn't "grow up" with them. And the fact that Sega forced the devs to shove it on store shevles in time for Christmas and the PS3 launch without properly testing it is just infuriating. It shows that Sega worked under the mindset of "well so what if it's broken and barely functional, kids and Sonic fans are morons. Look at Shadow's crappy game and how well it sold. Shove it out there, we have money to make." It's biggest problem came from trying to do too much. Questing, driving, climbing, running, fighting but I think it could've pulled it all off, there was potential for true greatness that some more polish or even a patch might have brought out.

Ironically though it's still a game I often recomend playing if only to see how bad it truly is.

Sonic 06 was basically Sonic Adventure 3 despite the development of Sonic Unleashed's history throwing off so many people.

Thank you for bringing us a good console Sonic game in the form of Sonic Colors and better yet making it a Wii exclusive that I can rub in the face of all those 360/PS3 fanboys, however for Christmas I would like you to not allow any more crappy Sonic games to show up and if not could you get me a bottle of 25 year old spiced rum to wash away all those memories of the crappy Sonic games you didn't stop.

Oh and don't try to replace that aged rum with some bottom shelf crap that broke college students buy. I'm on to you fat man!
