[QUOTE="murlow12"][QUOTE="Delta055"]lol all the haters call it "boring" because their precious wolverines got beat. GO BUCKEYES!!!murlow12

I hate both teams, and it was most certainly boring. But that's typical of Big Ten football.

It was cold and raining, lets see how well your PAC-10 survives in a trench matchup in those conditions. Running and Defense wins those games.

Say what you want about the Buckeyes, but the PAC-10 isn't anything special either.

and what do you mean score? other then Oregon (which averages 40pts a game, but thats was with Dixon) OSU averages more poitns a game at 32 then the rest of the PAC-10 (ESPN), and only allow 10pts.

Come on now... we'll see though.

That's b/c OSU doesn't play anybody, and the PAC 10 beats itself up. The Big Ten is garbage this year. Period.

Don't give me that excuse... the "elite" of PAC-10 has lost to garbage teams. USC lost to stanford (3-7), Oregon lost to Arizona (5-6), Cal is not that great this year, with loses to Wasington, Oregon State, etc

Arizona State is pretty good, but they don't face jack either except Oregon (which they lost) and USC.

At least OSU lost to a respectible and very fast team in Illinois. Oregon was the conference's big shot this year, but without Dixon...they aren't the same team.

Seriously, your arguement doesn't hold water. I'm not saying OSU had a hard schedule...but your PAC-10 shouting sounds about as loud as SEC fanboys, but the SEC have every right to wave their flags.

The point is either way, there is not one dominant team this year....not one, from anywhere. Almost everyone has been either upset or have lost to an unranked team. There is nothing anyone can say to get around that, because its fact.

We'll find out either way, because unless a couple more upsets play in OSU's favor. Someone from the PAC is going to face them in the Rose Bowl. Oregon, USC, or Arizona State. If ASU can beat the Trojans, thats who it'll be.

The PAC 10 is right behind the SEC as far as depth, but I admit that the SEC is tougher. The fact that there are more teams in the SEC has a lot to do with it.

Anyway, you'll see how weak the Big Ten is this bowl season. OSU will get beat in the Rose Bowl, and I'm sure Michigan and Illinois will also lose if they face decent teams. Let's not forget what Oregon did to Michigan in the Big House this year...

Yea yea yea...OSU did great this year. Keep up with your bad predictions. They won their conf, beat Michigan, might go to NC but Rose Bowl for sure. When they win the Rose Bowl what will be your excuse?

no one in the south cares about osu/mich... and you are all wrong, the greatest rivalry in college will always be army/navy

dkhw

The South stinks. North vs South, remember that? Biggest CFB GOTY will always be OSU vs Michigan, that's fact, not opinion.

This is the biggest joke ive seen here.

Anyways, this rivalry is overrated.

You saying the rivalry is over-rated is also a joke...and you have nothing to say that can say that it's over rated.

While I agree the media hypes it (and this is prob. because beside the SEC's hate for the Big Ten, OSU is still one of the more popular and profitable college teams in the league). The rivalery is one of the oldest, has featured some of the greatest coaches to coach the game. Is damn near always a blood bath (Ditto for the 70's and 90's here), most time decides big-ten championship, but in the past has several times sent one onto national implications. As well as countless other things I could name.

Yes certain rivalry is more important to respective regions, I won't disagree with that...and highly respect that.

But calling OSU-Michigan as a whole with that type of history over-rated, is nothing but pure joke in it's finest form.

It's overrated. Deal with it. Why? It's not a hated rivarly. Sorry but a true rivalry to me is based pure hatred. Like Texas/OU, Auburn/Bama, USC/UCLA etc. Not this "Oh good luck in the title game OSU - Michigan fan number 24000". You guys kept supporting each other last year and it was pretty disgusting if you ask me. You don't root for your hated rival. There is a thing called respect but you guys just decided to hold hands last year and that Northern lovefest was sick imo. It's my opinion and if you think its a joke then so be it. :D

you base it over one year? You seriously need to watch some previous game from over the years. These teams hate eachother just about as much anyone else.

Seriously, I'm going to send you a OSU-Michigan history DVD. Woody hayes wanted the team to bed/get gas in toleto because he didn't want to be in Michigan. Or the 90's when David Boston and Charles Wootson got into it bad, and wern't allowed each other after the game. These two teams hate eachother...

And what good luck are you talking about? I live in Ohio andI don't remember such things...except a select few being supportive of the Big Ten.

I respect your opinion, thats fine....and I'm certaintly not disrespecting other rivals in other conferences...because Auburn and alabama is a good one.

But OSU and Michigan really don't like eachother at all....

The players don't like each other...I agree with that. I meant the fans, which is what really makes rivalry's.

Last year, at the Horseshoe, Ohio State fans booed us, shoved us, sweared at us, and during the game, constantly harassed us. I don't know about you, but that's a lot of hate.

I believe you. When your at the game it's only natural to boo the other team and in some cases swear. Shoving? Well that is pure hatred. When your at the game im sure you guys hate each other, its only natural. However that is only when you play each other. Last year all I heard was "good luck with FLorida OSU" and "oh OSU is gonna dominate Florida yeah big 10!" When you guys aren't playing each other your supporting each other.

If they win the Rose Bowl then I'll eat my words. I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong. However, if Oregon still squeeks into the Rose Bowl then it would be pathetic for OSU not to win. We all know that isn't a top-ranked team without Dixon. I just hope UCLA beats Oregon and ASU beats USC this week, then ASU will go to the Rose Bowl and put a whooping on OSU.

OSU could have 4 first round pick this year, malcom jennkins is the number 1 corner the nation, gholston has 13 sacks including beating the hell out of jake long, kirt barton at RT has been lights out all year, and jamesL. will be a two time all-american, OSU only has 2 seniors on its team this year, watch out next year, micheal hart will not win the hiesman or be a first round pick he had 40 yds in 18 carries agianst a OSU.

That would be nice to see a rematch of that awesome 97' rose bowl.

Agreed, but this is still a very hated rivalary. John Cooper is a great example.

192-84-6 overall (with a 70-30 record in Big Ten play).... 4 bowl wins (1 Rose, 1 Sugar, 1 Citrus, 1 Holiday), 3 times tying for Big ten championship....BUT!!

1-10-1 against michigan, he was fired in 2000. (granted that lost in 00 outback to SC did not help at all)

Anyhow OSU over achieved this year, I'm happy with a Rose Bowl...I don't think they are good enough for NC. However, as ESPN predicted last year. OSU only has a few seniors, if everyone returns next year. They have a legitimate shot as winning national.

Yeah, but with a different outcome. :P
