That Suns bench is going INSANE.
If Mike was coaching the Suns, they'd never seen any playing time and the Lakers would be leading by 9 right now.
Alvin is a pretty good coach.

Haha, exactly. Where are the Lakers fans? Pretty slow to get here when their team looses.uh oh

Haha, exactly. Where are the Lakers fans? Pretty slow to get here when their team looses. Master_Livearen't you a knicks fan, you guys are pretty slow when it comes to winning  Lakers will put the Suns in their place come game 5, this series isn't over yet ;)

nah, not trying to flame the Lakers fans so don't get me wrong here. but i must admit.... this is very amusing. :D in any case, the series isn't over yet so nobody should get carried away.
[QUOTE="Jinroh_basic"]Haha, exactly. Where are the Lakers fans? Pretty slow to get here when their team looses. I'm here, win or lose, don't pull that card. Lakers played well enough to win on both ends but did a few dumb things in the 4th that messed it up for us. We didn't give the ball to Pau enough and especially didn't give it to Kobe enough because he was sizzling tonight. We made some mistakes in the 4th and the second quarter in general hurt us. LA will handle business at home and then end this in game 6 in Berlin.... I mean Phoenix.uh oh

only if Lebron goes to NY right? ;)
Nop. Have you notice the ONLY team that I like from New York is the YANKEES. Have you seem me rooting for the Jets or Giants? Nop. Islanders or Rangers? Nop.And this quote is true: "Boozer and Joe Johnson make the Knicks at least the 6th seed in the East. Fact. And those two guys are just the fall guys if Bron/Bosh/Wade don't sign in NY."

I know your post isn't directed towards me but man, your shots at the Knicks really sting. :(
To think, I was rooting for the Lakers to win it all this year. :P
I still think LA will win this series but game by game, round by round, i am seeing a very disturbing trend for the lakers, and i'd be worried if i was a fan. THEY CAN'T STOP ANYBODY. OKC, after they got their feet wet in the first game, scored at will. Utah scored at will. And now the Suns are scoring at will. The problem is that none of those teams have the size or the overall defensive ability to stop the lakers on a consistant basis - but Boston does. They can getaway with it in the Western Conference(the land of the 6'8 centers), but not against the Celtics. And i'm honestly shocked more so called "experts" aren't pointing this out.It is becoming more and more evident that we are going to see a repeat of two years ago. I could be wrong but at this point in the season, there aren't to many drastic changes that can be made. You are who you are.
David Stern at work >> FTs in Phoenix : 74-33 for the Suns. That's not a typo.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Suns, but that's just a joke.
BaraChat
Did you even watch the games? THere's a reason for that. Mainly the Lakers shot too many outside shots (hell they went for 32 threes in one game) and the Suns attacked the basket.
They made it a series! I don't see this going to 6. The Lakers are not the Mavs to let this one go. I love Nash, but at best, the Suns can push it to 7 games and thats it.

Seriously!! LMAO! At all the people comparing free throws! Its easy to out shoot the Lakers in Free Throws when in Game 3 they shot 32 Three Pointers making 9 and in Game 4 shooting 28 Three Pointers making 9 as well. Lakers, man up the lost and admit the Suns are a legit team that you cannot, "run" over as you previously thought, though I still think Lakers will win the series, give credit where credit it due!this series isn't over yet ;)andyboiiiI thought it was over 2 games ago according to you Faker fans.
Meh, over in 6.X360PS3AMD05:lol: Fiirst you say over in 5, now 6 and if LA loses again you will say meh over in 7. Accept facts, the Suns have a chance to get to 7 and are not rolling over.
[QUOTE="Messiahbolical-"]

Suns 4 - 2 Lakers
Glad someone agrees. :)
Suns can't win in LA. Sorry buddy
and Suns don't have home court advantage, soo sorry :)
And if LA cant win in Phoenix this series goes 7.[QUOTE="MoonMarvel"]And if LA cant win in Phoenix this series goes 7.andyboiiiand if it does happen to go to 7 it will be at StaplesDo you really want this series to go 7? Do you ever wonder if LA has trouble with Phoenix that they will get slapped by Boston who is 4 time better? This series isnt very comforting.

As far as Boston goes, their style is very different from the Suns, they're the best defensive team in the NBA that's for sure so that's not going to be a cake walk either
You guys have one of the biggest fanbases in the NBA, yet your crowd is laughably quiet. Probably in the top 5 quietest in the NBA. That's just pathetic. I don't think many people are afraid of playing there.Messiahbolical-
That's because it's in LA and all the rich celebrities and stock brokers are all sitting in the front becaue they have the money to buy those tickets
Bill Simmons wrote that there are 3 types of Lakers fans and I find it to be very true
"The inherent problem with any Lakers game: There are three types of Lakers fans, so the balance of any crowd depends on Type A and Type C overriding Type B"
Type A would be the die-hards -- mostly middle or lower **** populating the upper levels of the arena as well as the higher corner seats. These are the ones who attend championship parades, stick flags on their cars, wear jerseys to games and defend Kobe to the death. They are my mortal enemies, and I love when they are unhappy ... but I respect their passion
Type B: wannabe die-hards, locals there to be seen, couples showing up late and leaving early, C-list celebrities, agents or producers jabbering with clients and ignoring the game … it's everything I hate about Los Angeles in a nutshell
Type C: Type C would be the wealthy die-hards -- upper **** connected, and in many cases, family-owned season-ticket holders since the days of Magic/Kareem or even West/Baylor -- only it's a disproportionately large group compared with any other NBA city except New York. I don't mind these fans unless they are giving their tickets to Spaulding Smails-type relatives. They always return for the playoffs, just one reason why those games are always better.

I was gonna link that when he said something about the crowd, I don't always agree with Simmons but he's right on the Staples Center crowd. If the people sitting in the higher sections could afford the good seats the Staples Center would be loud as hell, go back and watch highlights of the 2000 playoff run, that place was LOUD.

Anyways, the Suns need to be aware despite tying the series, they are still the underdogs, the Lakers are favored to win the series for a reason. Can the Suns win the series? Absolutely. Would you bet that can take 2 out of 3 of the next games with 2 of the games being in LA? I dont think so.
Lakers vs Boston, it's NBA Destiny.
You know what, I want Lakers but I'm kind of glad Suns won. Why? More wins mean more basketball to watch! And I'm glad Orlando won and I hope they win again Wed night!
Lakers need to be battle tested more. They got lazy (and cocky) after sweeping Utah and beating the Suns twice. They need to be tested so that they can be ready for Boston (or Orlando if there's a miracle) in the finals. Seriously, with Boston's toughness, physical play, and Rondo playing crazy, Lakers need a little kick in the pants to prepare for that battle.
So no worries.
Same thing happened with OKC and that series made the Lakers a tougher team. So it's all good.
Hope Orlando wins two more and takes those old guys in green to 7 games! I want to see more games during the week. I hate all those sweeps. It's been a boring playoffs so I'm glad there's finally some good competition!

damn straight they won't be no cakewalk....boston is gonna win no matter who wins this series
i'd just rather the lakers win this series because there is nothing better than the celtics getting championships by beating the lakers :)
Lakers in 7, though I hope Nash and the Suns win

My friends who are Lakers fans where making this face last night during the game
hehe, good series so far, it was crazy in that 1st half last night when Frye and Kobe where just hitting 3's back and forth.
I see Kobe coming out SHOOTING alot next game and lakers goign up 3-2

I'm a Suns fan. The Lakers lost the games because they didn't play Lakers basketball, they played the way the Suns wanted them to play. HUGE props to the Suns and Alvin Gentry for that. And I'm glad to see they aren't dead nor giving up. This series could really well go to 7 games, which would be great news.
But a 2.24 to 1 FT advantage is ridiculous. And I'd bet the proportion will stay the same in LA, only this time it will be for LA. That's why I'm saying it's ridiculous.
I doubt the Suns will win this series but I want them to prove me - and the NBA - wrong. They are playing Championship caliber basketball right now, and for those who say that Boston will run over them remember the Suns beat Boston TWICE during the regular season, and big wins too. Now I don't know about Boston's health during those 2 games (injuries?) but I do know they started something like 5-0 or 6-0 until the SUNS beat them.
So don't put the Suns down yet.
Question for Lakers fans.. if you where a coach on the Lakers.. what would you try to do to play better against the Zone? Since the suns have gone to the zone the lakers have settled for so many jumpshots and 3 pointers (thus not getting to the line as much as the suns).
How would you tell your team to attack the zone? This is a very interesting series to me, as the lakers dominated first two games and then since suns went to the zone they have been doing alot better. Suns made the first adjustment... can the lakers make the next one?
If any of us knew that don't you think we'd be a coach or assistant coach in the NBA or at least NCAA getting paid millions of dollars a year? LOL!Question for Lakers fans.. if you where a coach on the Lakers.. what would you try to do to play better against the Zone?
