How many people Really thought Madden series was better than NFL2K series

How many of you out there thought Maddden was better and do you think by monopolizing the NFL license that EA killed off the motivation to really improve their series?chorne8130

I loved 2k alot better than madden. I hate that the NFL sold the license specifically to EA. No competition means no motivation to improve. Either way I will be playing FIFA till next year.

NFL 2K5 was boring to me. Anytime I completed a big play it didn't feel like I actually accomplished anything because it was just so dull of a game. It was more realistic than Madden but Madden is just more fun to play for me.xboxplayer1990

lol so true, that V.I.P. system was awesome. So we're probably going to see Madden 2010 bringing the DNA(which is basically EA's years later response to the VIP system) system as a ''new and exciting'' feature.

the passing in nfl 2k stunk. the running aspect of it was good.

But madden is a much better series. i also think they should drop the mlb series so everyone can work on a mlb game.

2k5 is by far the better game. But right now, those graphics and no updated roster won't do it for me. I need to play with more current players and better graphics. manningbowl135

the passing it was i thin nfl2k7 if i am right. working at gamestop at the time. Alot of people who played it (we played in during our hours of work even the manager was playing.) and we all agree that the passing needed work on.

Totally true. If you hit a guy at a certain time when he caught the ball, he would drop it every time and it was that way since 2K1. And the ball "floated" so bad in the 2K series. It was ridiculous. I know gamespot seems to be the 2K Lovers Club so this will get flamed, but Madden is the better series, that's why they get to keep making real NFL games while the other gets to watch from the sidelines.

I'm not going to diss madden because until 05 it made great football games, but ever since then they have taken a step back in gameplay. A lot of people say it's because they have no competition and that might be the case but as consumers who have only 1 NFL football game to choose from it's sad we can't get a decent madden for the next gen. Just look at this video, this madden taking a step back.

The only game I liked more was NFL 2K, after that Madden was better every year. Madden 05 was better than 2K5 hands down. They keep using the same engine since 2K.... Too many people were brainwashed by how good 2K was (which it was a turning point for football games) and just kept talking the 2K series up. Madden is king, period. Madden has the NFL license for a reason and it's not because of money.nickdastick

Even if he did show the glitches you would still just act like it's nothing because you are such a 2K homer. The game was so mediocre that they had to lower the price and it still didn't sell as much as Madden... Interesting... 2K must be better though... That just makes sense...

APF was limited in what it could do. the gameplay was there but the options such as franchise couldn't be done because it wasn't possible with legends in the game. when would they retire? after 3 years lol not only that the gameplay was still solid but the problem people and most reviewers had were it were the lack of features which was true. As for Maddens sales, it does not indicate if a game is good or not. Soulja boy was popular and sold a lot of records too does that make him good? no it does not, not saying madden is bad but i'm just saying numbers sold does not indicate if it is a good game or not. Look at Madden 06, that was possibly the worst madden and it STILL sold a lot but Madden sheep will buy it year after year despite all of its flaws
