Kimbo Slice on CBS

I'm sure plenty will and they'll see crap

Kimbo Slice is washed up, he's not even close to one of the best fighters in this "sport" and he's being put on because of his name.

So now CBS viewers are going to watch a watered down match that's been dumbed down.

It's like if the NFL was going to debut on TV and they picked the Miami Dolphins to play the Atlanta Falcons

This wasnt real MMA, real MMA is UFC, Pride, etc....

No joke, this was the worst event ive seen ever for an MMA event, what a horrible way to show the general public MMA.

GSP, Anderson Silva, Bj Penn, Rampage, Fedor, Okami, etc.. get some REAL MMA fighters and show the world what real MMA is.

Elite XC is closer to WWF then it is MMA.

What a horrible show and a kick in the balls to real MMA fighters/fans.

If this was your first MMA event, dont pay any attention to it. Go watch some UFC pay per views and see what i mean.

A rigged final fight at the end of the night, after horrible fights thru out the night.

I think Kimbo is somewhat new to MMA so he's not going to get to fight the best right now, but so far from what i've seen it looks like he needs to improve on his countering when he is taken to the ground

I watched Kimbo fight, wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be.

Kimbo, he got potential though. Still needs to work hard but he's on the right path if he keeps training.

The fight definitely didn't go according to plan. Kimbo needed to be dominant and put himself front and center as the poster boy for the sport. Didn't happen IMO.

I will say, Kimbo doesn't deserve so much hate...he never claimed to be the best and knows he has a lot to learn. He is what he is, a novice in MMA trying to make some money. Can't fault him for that.TexDeuce from MMA Underground

Last nights show was pretty horrible, poor time management, premature stoppages in the main event (Thompson would've have been down with one more hit thought) and the second best match of the night (Lawler fight). Gus Johnson was incredible as usual though.

I dont know Thompson looked like he would've gone down if he stayed in there any longer.

I could understand if they stopped the match when Thompson was pounding Kimbo on the mat but those hits Thompson was putting on him looked incredibly weak so I can see why they didn't.

In boxing its just one part of fighting, you cant even kick or take someoen to the ground in boxing. MMA is more like a real fight to me, so yes i enjoy it more then boxing now.

Boxing use to be king, but its been on the down fall for awhile imo.

I like to see the differnt stuff MMA fighters train for, Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, Karate, Wrestling, boxing, Muiah Thai kickboxing, etc....

Its not just striking, you must study alot more then just striking to do well in MMA.

I can't believe the BS involved in that fight. They could have hidden the fact that it was rigged a little better. That was a well timed camera zoom out, a fighter not defending himself warrants a stoppage every time, besides this fight. It's nice to see Kimbo practicing MMA but from the fight it looks like he should just brawl instead of trying to grapple/maneuver the opponent so much. He did more damage by just pounding away at the guy.jharv

exactly. He came out with the wrong idea. Before the fight he said he wanted to show off his grappling moves but that turned out to be a pretty dumb idea. But by round 3 it looked like he figured that out, lol.

I actually liked the Torres fight better. When they got eachother in a toe hold, that was amazing.

As a casual MMA watcher its a nice change of pace IMO. I'd rather watch a slugfest than a submission or ground and pound type match, boxing is boring and too slow paced for me not to mention fighting looks much more brutal in MMA.
