Who you got?

I'm a Yankee fan, so I'm biased lol. It's not ridiculous to go with the Yankees though IMO. Considering the Yankees normally get their butts kicked against the Angels, yet they were able to split the season series a 3 at piece this year, I'm feeling much better, especially with an awakened A-Rod. Yankees in 6!

I'm taking the Yankees but I won't be surprised if the Angels take it. It's always a good matchup when these two meet.

SonicBalla

This isn't a story book and the Angels have a very nice payroll as well. Adenhart dying was a tragedy, but that's not a right of passage to the World Series. The best team moves on. The thing that that I like about this ALCS is that I'm genuinely convinced that whoever wins is really the best team in the AL because in my mind these two teams are better than the rest. You can buy all the talent in the world, but if you don't have excellent team work then you'll fail miserably. This is prevalent in any sport. Look at last year's Dallas Cowboys, or even Yankee teams of recent memory.

This Yankee team is clutch and overpowering because they work together and rally behind one another. They've displayed incredible team chemistry and are very confident, even against the Angels, especially with the series starting in New York.

The dream world series match up is LA vs NY, west coast vs east coast, torre vs yankees. I say the yanks beat the angels in six.

Yanks. Why? Angels beat the Red Sox, so naturally they're going to have to choke against the Yankees now....

I got Angels in 6. I think they can get it done, plus I'm a Jays fan, I CAN'T cheer for the Yankees:P Maybe it was just me, but the Yanks seemed to of had trouble against the Twins. They could of lost game 2 and 3 if Joe Nathen didn't blow it in the 9th in game 2, and if the Twins could hit with runners on baseand didn't make stupid mistakes in both games 2 and 3.

Hard to choose, I want the Angels to win, but I think Yankees will win it. A-Rod is finally stepping out of his postseason slump :o and Tex is hitting big as well.

LMAO at ESPN's "experts", proving once again why they're called Eastern Sports Players Network. They've all picked the Yankees to win the series. I can't wait to see the egg on their faces when the Angels take this series in six games.

What's funny is the Subway World Series drew some of the worst ratings in MLB history, though not nearly as bad as Philly vs. Tampa Bay, yuk.

I heard it did. But its the reason why im a baseball fan/Mets fan. It was exciting for me being a newyorker. Pretty much if it wasnt for the WS in 2000, I wouldnt be typing in this thread or caring about baseball. Mike Piazza, your still the man

I don't think picking the Yankees this year is a sign of East coast bias. I think it's a sign of picking the team with the better record, the team that has scored more runs, the team that has given up fewer runs, and the team that has played hotter after the All-Star break.

They're just going off of stats, not necessarily the circumstances behind those stats. Ask the Red Sox if stats mattered.

You really shouldn't be so spiteful over analyst picks. I mean not for nothing last year the Angels were the favorite to win it all because they were the most impressive regular season team. This year that team is the Yankees, so it's okay to cry foul right? lol. Playing under dog can actually be fun though and some teams thrive under that role.

Hey, I'm amused by it, because I expected it. It'll be that much sweeter when the Angels win the Pennant.

The Angels will not win the Pennant this year. The Yankees starting pitching, hitting, and relieving is superior. The Yankees only real defensive quirks are in the outfield with a defensively average Swisher in right (though he does have a good enough arm) and a weak armed Damon in left. That's not much of a chip in the armor to work with. And as good as the Yankees are this year, I guarantee they will be even better next year, and most likely defending their world championship.

This is a flat out homer comment. After the way the Angels took apart a superior team to the Twins, how on earth did you come to this conclusion?

If the Yankees' starting pitching were "superior", they wouldn't be seriously considering a 3-man rotation.

If the yankees win the world series they should dedicate it to those who lost their lives on 9-11 because they failed the first time they tried doing that.

na. They probably didnt have a choice seeing its NY and the attack happened a month and a half after they started the WS. The whole nation had that "we are together" feeling at that time.

Easy. Because they dominated all season mainly with their starting pitching, hitting, and relieving. Not just against the Twins. The Yankees have been doing this. And that "superior team" in the Red Sox were handed, what was it, eight straight losses by the hands of the Yankees at the end of the season? Arguing against the Yankees this year on almost anything is an uphill battle. They're an incredibly deep and talented team.

Wang was injured all year, people forget that he was kind of a part of the plan for the Yankees. It doesn't even matter though. CC can easily handle short rest, as a matter of fact he can go multiple starts on short rest and still dominate. That's why he gets paid the big bucks as the ace for the Yankees.
