[QUOTE="Tjeremiah1988"]Whos more in trouble, Yanks or Angels? Took em 13 innings!Renegade_Fury

Angels, of course. Series is over. The only gripe I have is how A-roid is now Yankee fans' and ESPN's hero. How convienent...

Yes, he took steroids. He admitted to it. It doesn't change the fact that what he did was wrong. He's lived with an inordinate amount of pressure and it drastically affected his post season play. You can have all the power in the world, but it takes a truly special athlete to be that clutch. He's finally come through this year in what's shaping up to be one of the greatest post season performances in recent years. For once, give Alex Rodriguez credit he deserves. That applies to anyone who's ever been an A-Rod critic.

[QUOTE="DA_B0MB"]Really though, the Angels played a helluva game. I have no love for that team given that they've beaten the Yankees ruthlessly over the past decade, but I have to hand them respect when it's due. Tjeremiah1988
I cant. SOoooo many chances to create a huge lead, bases loaded how many times and nothing done? And then... then that stupid play at the end?! Sweet mother of hot sauce i need to calm down!

And the Yankees had just as many chances and let it slip, until the end of course. The Angels matched the Yankees for 13 dramatic and unforgettable innings.

if angels had the vladdy of old this game would have been over in the 5th inning. Vlad,Figgins and Garret Anderson were the reason why angels dominated the yankees all these years

Honestly Vlad isn't known over his career to be an incredible post season performer but I can say Figgins has been one of the Yankees biggest problem players over the years.

when it comes to the yankees the opposing teams history in anythin does not matter because yankees like to make that player look amazing even if there 0-32 or have a 7.32 era

lol wut. The Angels would smack around the phillies idk about the dodgers though. The Yankees would make Joe Torre fold and crumble and torre would makes pitching moves that make no sense.

base on their performance, the Angels, I dont see that happening. I mean, when I look at their lineup, im shocked they managed to only put up only 4 runs this series so far.

I personally have supported A-Rod. He's aggravated me multiple times, but I've been there through all the trouble and drama, patiently waiting for his time to come. If you're speaking about the general opinion of Yankee fans on A-Rod I can tell you this much; Yankee fans since 04' have been looking for a reason to love him like Jeter. Those reasons come soley in the post season though. A-Rod became a notorious regular season monster and at the same time a playoff failure. The fans, being frustrated booed him and heckled him when he struggled. Now when he is finally coming through, in such uncannily clutch moments if I might add, they are loving him, because that's what it takes to earn the hearts of Yankee fans. Now for some reason I don't think you give a ****. Quite frankly I don't care either way, but for those who've been confused on the position of Yankees fans on A-Rod, that's the answer.

Cool, but I'm not really referring to Yankee bandwaggon mentality, but how a steroid's users past has been conveniently swept under the rug. What happened to being black listed? I guess the rules change when the player is on your team.

hes my boy now? if your assuming im cheering for the guy because he is now clutch during the playoffs and booes him when he sucked well your wrong. I was one of the small amount of people who knew the yankees team as a whole sucked ass the past 2 ALDS. Anyways obviously he admited he used roids because he got caught doesnt take a genius to know that but to call this man a cheat every time he does sumtin NOW is lame. Call him a cheater for hitting 57 HR as a ranger i could care less.

No, I'm saying he's your boy because he's on YOUR team, not because of his recent accomplishments. I'm just having fun noticing how the rules have changed when a player has been accused of or has been proven to have taken perfomance enhancers.

there was this news report about Manny when he returned and how everyone started to praise him. People see it as something wrong when a "cheater" is praised in sports because they believe it gives the wrong message to children.

im not saying this man should not be shunned for using roids. I was loling when i heard he got caught because honestly i wasnt surprised nor will i be surprisd if pujols has used. What im saying is it gets annoying to call him a cheater when he hits this home run as if he is still on roids. But until bonds admits that he uses he is still a cheat all the way lol call me a hypocrite but this guy had been a douche to reporters all the time and has yet to admit that anything...im not even making sense now

What im saying is it gets annoying to call him a cheater when he hits this home run as if he is still on roids. But until bonds admits that he uses he is still a cheat all the way lol call me a hypocrite but this guy had been a douche to reporters all the time and has yet to admit that anything...im not even making sense now

Tell that to all Giants' fans. Like I said, I'm just having fun. After having to defend Bonds for years, it's funny to be on the other end and hearing the same old arguments, but heard from the other side instead. Seeing guys like Arod, Manny, and Ortiz being defended by the same fans who booed my guy for the same reason is just amazing. Yeah, Bonds is an ass, and hasn't admitted to anything, but still, he shouldn't have to shoulder all the hate (or syringes) himself. Tell you what, if Bonds is a first ballot HOFer, I'll let my grudge drop, but otherwise no deal.

Really Bud Selig is the one who should be getting flamed for not testing. ^ You know what's really funny? Going to AT&T and hearing the people boo and heckle Manny.

That's because he's a bum er.. Dodger. :D

Yeah, we all know Selig should get the blame and what not, but it really doesn't matter at this point. He's just going to retire as a rich man, and let some other guy attempt to clean up this mess.

INSTANT CLASSIC. What a game! How about A-rod! What an unbelievable home run. Fighting tooth and nail doesn't even begin to describe this game. Incredible plays by both teams. I for one certainly do believe in ghosts haha. DA_B0MB
Great game, A-Rod coming through in the clutch! And Texeira ain't doing much with his bat but it making it up with superb defense at first.

[QUOTE="DA_B0MB"][QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"] lol, how the tune has changed oh so quickly in just the last few years, let alone this season.

Renegade_Fury

I laugh every time the TBS announcers talk about Manny's suspension but NEVER say WHY he was suspended.

Disappointing ending to a hard fought game. Girardi taking Robertson out didn't seem to make that much sense. I hardly ever disagree with Girardi's moves but I guess he figured he let Hughes stay one pitch too long and didn't want to do the same with Robertson.

I didn't really like how Game 3 went, but we didn't deserve to win that game, allowing them to come back from 3-0 on two home runs. With CC Sabathia due to pitch one, maybe two more games and the series possibly going back to New York, I think the Yanks are safe.. but Tuesday nights game will make the picture more clear.

Yankees. Ok lets look at this who is the better hitting team? Yankees. Who are the better pitching team. Yankees. Yankees are just the better team simply. The Yankees will go to the world series along with the dodgers and the yankees will win it all.
