I'm a diehard Yankee fan, and even I was uncomfortable with that call. I'm actually happy it didn't effect anything. This third base umpire is a joke.

Enjoyable game for a Yankee fan to watch considering they're used to years of getting pounded by these guys, most people probably found it boring once the Yankees went up 5-0 though. Very fortunate for the umpires that this game was a blow out and one team very definitively won. With good fortune the Yankees will clinch Thursday and head to the World Series. :D

With the Yankees up 3-1 this series is locked up. The Angels starting pitching has shown it can't go deep against the Yankees which is the key problem they had in this series IMO.

12.1 inning 6 hits 3ER 10ks...only thing AJ hasnt been doing great is control(7 walks in 12.1 innings) but yea im not calling it series yet surprised yankee fans have not learned from the last time they were 3-1

Seriously, the umpiring is an embarrassment, i used to think hey that's the human part of the game but now i'm for extending the replay rule. Like the guy said on ESPN if something like this happens in the WS which i'm sure it will the way this postseason has gone, they will probably be serious about extending it.

Some poor umpiring as said above, but the Yankees still have played a great series. I think they'll win it in the next game played.

that play with posada and cano was an extremely bad call but i think i believe him when he said he thought cano was on base cuz posada was in his way. terrible call though i lol'd when it was called safe

Yeah it was a pretty bad call but he probably could not see posada and messed up. I respect the ump for admitting his faults.

SIX runs in ONE inning in a game where we looked completely shut down. Yankee Magic baby!

If the Yankees win I gaurentee you'll see in the papers itommorow in La "Umps blow call, cost Angels the series". Let's face it, home plate will never not be regulated by a human being. This will always happen. Pitches go border line. The Yanks got screwed from the umpires in this series too. Really though, the Yankees have shown that they're clearly the better team. When all else fails blame the umps. They're not the one's throwing those hittable pitches after that call.

You have to listen to your ace or at least talk to him, he said three times that it was his. He brings in Oliver and then gives up four runs. If I'm Lackey, I'm pissed right now(and you know he is). As a manager, you have to trust your ace and there was two outs. Angels have no bullpen and that just pisses me off that he'd do that. I'm a Cardinals fan so I can't say much, but Mike didn't do the right thing there.

I'm laughing at the person earlier who said they wouldn't come back. :oops:
