"At last..." -Morpheus Damn this was a fun regular season of NBA basketball. Tons of great, compelling storylines to follow and discuss. But it's now time to separate the men from the boys.

NBA PLAYOFFS ARE HERE!! Man, there aren't enough options in my poll below to capture all the storylines out there that interest me. Others not listed include: 1. Are the Thunder ready to finally make The Leap? 2. Spurs being written off prematurely? 3. Can Denver actually make some noise post-Carmelo? 4. Can Dwight Howard actually do some damage with Jameer Nelson as the second best player on his team? The teams are ready to go. The fans are ready to go. Heck, I'M ready to go. Let's get ready to rummmmbllllle! -Unnamed announcer in "Morrie's Monstrous Pit" from Dragon Quest VIII.

Master_Live won't be happy about this, eh I wouldn't say I disagree with him either. white_sox

We did fine with one thread throughout the whole season and didn't have problems when different games were going on. There's not really any need for a ton of threads to be all over the first page.

Plus unless something unexpected happens how many posts are really going to be on a thread like Spurs/Grizzlies? It's not like there are a bunch of fans for either team here.

This is the last chance for the Celtics to win a ring for the foreseeable future in my opinion. Rondo MUST be as good, if not better, then the 2008-2009 playoffs.

It's got to be Miami. They have faced an insane amount of pressure all season and it's time to see if they can deliver when it's all on the line.

I like the Heat and Bulls so it would be nice to see either of them go all the way...but I doubt the Heat can this year.

Be pretty cool to see Kobe andLA get another 3-peat before Phil retires. I dont know though. They've already made it to the Finals 3 times in a row.

What the hell is wrong with you nocoolnamejim? Threads for each series is how it has been done FOR YEARS. How about a hand off approach?, let the users make the content and only interfere when is absolutely necessary. Awesome, ONE thread for the whole playoffs, genius.

Playoff time is always tough here in the Pacific Northwest, especially since the Sonics were just starting to get legit when they left.

I want to see either see OKC or Chicago win it all. I think I'm going to puke if the Lakers win it for the 3rd year in a row.

I'd like to see the Thunder go far. Can oyu imagine a Thunder vs. Bulls final? I think that would be interesting.

But as for who is going to win it all, the Spurs have been consistent but I would not count the Lakers and Celtics out. The Heat could go far but they really have to be consistent.

+ 1 for Thunder. a captivating team with amazing players. i'm especially interested in seeing how well KD will perform in real deal... if last playoffs were of any indication, chances are good that he'll shine :D

I dunno. He didn't do too well in last year's playoffs. (At least compared to his regular season stats.) Link Of course it WAS his first playoff series and he went up against the Lakers. I'd expect better out of him this year.

I was really hoping for a Knicks-Heat first round match-up. It would have been great to see a team with enough skill beat the Heat that early in the playoffs. However, if I had to make a prediction for the Finals, I would choose Lakers vs. Celtics, again....

Wish we could have separate threads for each series, oh well.

GO PACERS!!!!

My guess if I was betting is Lakers vs Celtics or Bulls again in the finals.

My fanboy dream pick? Pacers vs Blazers :)

I think there are going to be alot of close series this year, cant wait!

I have my first-round predictions on my blog there : onehandedbouncepass.blogspot.com

If I really had to make a Finals predictions, I'd say Bulls-Lakers, and probably Lakers in 6. I trust Phil and co. to come through when it matters most. Like the Celtics, I'm not writing them off until they trail a series 3-0 or something.

My dream Finals? Sixers over Lakers in 5!

This is Rondo's post season to prove he is a top tier PG. D-Rose will in all probability win the Regular season MVP, but a regular season MVP hasn't won the NBA championship in nearly a decade (Tim Duncan in 2003 was the last to win a MVP and win the championship in the same year). If Rondo wants to continue wearing this shirt Then this playoff he will have to be trouble, he has to **** around an average a triple double :D

Playoffs aren't even good until the Conf. Finals, so one will suffice. Who is going to discuss a bunch of 4 and 5 game series?

Eh, Pacers are giving it all they got and they're only up by four. If the Bulls can get their D squared away and start getting their perimeter shooting going then the second half is going to be a different story. Thibs definitely gave his team a scalding at half, they're going to come out different in the second half.
