[QUOTE="Allicrombie"]I would have liked to see Jerry Sloan with the Lakers, but I think Phil could have worked. He wanted to skip the away games, but with Skype and all, he wouldnt really have to physically be there anyway. Say he picked an assistant coach to mentor and groom as a replacement, that guy could go on the road, communicate with Phil via phone, they could have a little laptop in the locker room, and on the bench with Phil's head right there via Skype, I'm telling you, it sounds silly, but it would work. Conscrumptured
It would need to be a rotating seat so Jackson could see further on down the court. Spare no expense, it has to be realistic.

At least for me it will be nice to see the Lakers "run" other teams on offense (if the old dudes can pull it off) instead of getting ran by them all the time. Even under Phil the Lakers defense wasn't that great too many times to me.

I know Phil has won 11 rings, but I never was a big fan of the Triangle Offense and thought it became outdated. The Lakers were playing a structured offensive game while the opponents were "comin at em", runnin them all over the court. Will be good to see them put more offensive pressure on teams. We'll see about the defense, but I think they'll be ok, at least D. Howards an upgrade from Bynum on D.

Also, been waiting years to see Kobe in a less structured offense.

Phil didn't even want to skip road games. All that stuff has been debunked. We don't have Phil cus Jim Buss is an idiot. He'll never be as good as his dad.-Halftime-

Even though the Pistons blow come the second half of any game, it's so fun watching the rookies we've picked over the years start doing great things. I just wish we amnesty Charlie V.

Pau is a ****ing idiot, I have no clue why he didn't call timeout. Great game, but he's gotta play better. 11 or 12 points isn't gonna do it. He spends way too much time on the perimeter.

So I was looking at NBA team salaries in case things don't work out with Dwight Howard in LA. Good teams with cap room:

  • Philadelphia 76ers
  • Atlanta Hawks
  • Dallas Mavericks
  • Houston Rockets
  • San Antonio Spurs
  • Los Angeles Clippers

Rockets, obviously. THE RETURN ON THE TWIN TOWERS! Asik and Howard are no Sampson and The Dream... but teams won't be scoring inside on us, that's for sure >.>

John Hollinger's insider piece on josh smith: "Josh Smith, jump shooter, has taken seven 3-pointers and made one of them. Josh Smith, jump shooter, has tried 29 2s from beyond 10 feet and converted six of them. Josh Smith, jump shooter, has taken 15 free throws and made three of them. Josh Smith, jump shooter, is killing the Hawks' offense. What's so maddening is that Josh Smith, basketball player, is otherwise extremely valuable. He sees the court, rebounds, defends, can finish at the rim and has a nice right-block post game. When not shooting jumpers, he's at 53.8 percent this season. Add in the jumpers and he's at 39.8 percent with a career-low PER. I'll ask one more time, very nicely: Ditch the jumpers, Josh." Can someone PLEASE get this cancer off my team. My dream scenario would be a josh smith for joakim noah trade, but that'll never happen, sigh... Or maybe a new coach can make Josh "Mid Range Shawty(nickname he made for himself)" Smith learn to sit his behind in the paint.

Chalmers and Cole have way too many turnovers just from bringing the ball up court. Needs to stop.

the Heat better hope Clippers or Grizzlies don't make it to the finals I don't care if it's just the regular season, they just don't match up well with either teams Clippers from top to bottom have a deeper team plus they're athletic and Grizzlies have three solid perimeter defenders plus an improved offense this season

It's really not even so much that the Hear are a "super" team. Sure, they're extremely good and definitely more talented then pretty much every team, but they aren't unbeatable. The East is just so weak that it's going to be a huge surprise if the Heat don't roll over it again. The Bulls are a one man show even with Rose and the Celtics wouldn't have even made it to the conference finals last season if Rose didn't blow out his knee.

The Super Team thing is overated, or it doesn't exist.

Big names foe sure, but LeBron, Wade, and Bosh took 2 years to win a title and in that 2nd year they were nearly beat by the Pacers and oldass Celtics.

The Lakers are struggling with their "superteam"

Teams like the Spurs and Grizzlies have shown that a good mix of players and great coaching can beat anyone.

I am so happy the Lakers dumped that bum Bynum. Can't stay healthy for more than 4 months.
