I really hope you are not still dwelling on game 2 or whats happening in with the corrupted clown donaghy because this was a well officiated game probably the best one this series.

There's too much suspicion over the NBA. Every bad call makes me think of cheating right now. I can't enjoy the game.

Do you feel that was about every HR you see in baseball?

I'm feeling kinda numb right now which is good. But I bet I'm gonna be stressed out if Lakers indeed losses this game. Good thing there will be plenty of ways to relieve my stress today, I'll play MGS4 & watch Incredible Hulk. :) If the Lakes doesnt get the title there are also plenty of reasons not to be letdown, ofcourse I'll be very dissapointed but like I said plenty of resons not to be let down. Anyway it aint over yet, Celtics still needs to win 1 game.

gamergeek545

While you are watching The Incredible Hulk say"Hulk smash the Celtics!!!"

I think Hulk is a Celtics fan too cause he is green.

Oh....true sorry...I have yet to find anything in MGS 4 that is purple that I can think of but maybe Snake is a Lakers fan :)

No, Snake isnt a fan of NBA cause he is a fan of the Patriots. :P

LMAO But that is in Boston so you just are alone and can just cry alone but HEY!Will Smith is a Lakers fan :)

There are heroes... There are superheroes... and there are Hancock. :)

I like how Phil Jackson said they'd be all right before the fourth quarter started. He needs to get his head out of his ass and actually coach for a change.

gamergeek545

You dissing a coach who has 9 rings there buddy.

Yea but he had big help from some small people called Kobe Bryant,Shaq,Michael Jordon, and Scottie Pippen.

Jordan wasnt sh1t before Phil Jackson, he was selfish and wasnt a very good teamate. Also shaq needs that triangle offense to be good look at him in phoenix now

Yeah but if you give anyone a team with names like Jordan, Pippen, Shaq, Bryant, and the like, it's a lot easier to win. At least that was blatantly exposed during the '04 Finals when Jackson was clearly out-coached by Larry Brown and the Pistons, who were projected to get swept. I'm sure Jackson walked into that matchup thinking he just needed to show up to win with superstar names such as Kobe, Shaq, Malone, and Payton at the helm.

I agree, But Phil Jackson was always handed his players. Red drafted his great players. Which is why Red > Phil.

Plus Phils Zen BS is annoying.

Just_Osmo

IDK about that, before Phil came to the Bulls, MJ and Pippen and company always got bounced by the Pistons or Celtics, when he got there and taught his philosophies, they won championships. Same when he got to the Lakers, Kobe and Shaq were getting swept by Utah and the Spurs before Phil got there, once Phil got there 5 Finals appearances and 3 titles. Plus Phil and Red played in 2 completely different eras, so i think its unfair to say who was really the better coach.

[QUOTE="X360PS3AMD05"][QUOTE="JCblueside"]Am I the only Lakers fan here right now? gamergeek545

No, but when they give up a 24 point lead they deserve to lose. :|........i'm ready to say trade Gasol back...........

What kind a Lakers fan are you!?

Have you seen how lame Gasol is? Gimmies he misses, flopping everywhere getting bailed out by the refs. Garnett posted him up for a clutch shot, just like Shaq would, have you seen Gasol do that? Nope, get the ball out of his hands, he's too soft like Stephen A Smith says. I Also love all the Fake fans in the building being totally quiet!!!

Gasol doesn't do **** with the ball unless he's right under the rim. He's so weak. I hate when they pass him the ball if he isn't under the rim.

Amen brotha, it hurts to watch that, also where did Odom go in that second half?
Seriously I didn't see him at all.Eman5805

Once Bynum comes back next season Pau will be in a more comfortable position which is PF.

Let's see. A cheating ref saying the league and owners help change outcomes of games isn't the same as individuals taking steroids. If the player is suspected of steroids, I think that. In the NBA's case, the league is suspected of cheating, so every game in the league I feel like that.

The series isn't over, only if we were talking about the Shaq Lakers who would duke it out in a close game, this is a lame team that falls asleep and Gasol is soft in the middle, Odom disappears. They went into Arco Arena and you knew we had a shot to win, going to Boston with this team i'm not so sure :? It'll be all on Kobe willing this team, but he's tired from all the minutes he's played.

If he said that the sereis is over, you'd probably go critically nuts over him so no difference.

Ahh man, I watched like fifteen minutes of the first half and the half time show; nobody gave Bos a chance so I started playing football and now as I check my various articles on Wikipedia I almost fell off the couch. I'm more angry that I missed a second half that was obviously great than happy Bos won.

Pretty ironic that the last big comeback like this was when the Lakers beat the Blazers, now on the same floor the Lakers have it happen to them. All I have to say is, the Lakers are lucky that it's 3-1 and that the Celtics aren't holding the trophy up right now.

Thats why as a fan you should never leave. DVR is great. If you get pissed you can pause it for 10 minutes and fast forward through the painful stuff.

boston is one of the best shooting teams i have seen in my life. there is no way the lakers will win this series. boston will be back next year but lakers need to step it up. i doubt they will make it next year to the finals.-Renegade

If the Lakers will be a much healthier team next season they would be a better team than this year no doubt about that. Once Bynum comes back it will address the biggest problem of LAL which is their frontcourt. Bynum being there on the frontcourt with Gasol & Odom will turn the tide of the Lakers bigs from soft to strong and and really tall. Having two 7 footers and the other one almost 7 footer on the Lakers starting 5 next season will be intimidating enough. Not to mention the Lakers bench will be even deeper cause Radmanovic will be coming off the bench. So I dont know why your sounding off as if the Lakers ill be worst next year.

I am not saying they will be worst but they have to deal with too many good teams in the west. The Spurs, Utah, the Suns and now New Orleans. The west is stacked. It will be a hard road to the finals next season.

wow...i don't know what to say. Blowing a 24 point lead at home in the finals is ridiculous. Series is definitely over. Judging by the way the lakers are playing in the finals, they sure as hell aren't gonna be the first to come back and win from a 3-1 deficit. Everyone else is playing soft on the lakers team other than kobe. Better luck next year when they get bynum back. Boston proved themselves to be the better team and garnett will finally get his well deserved ring

Phil Jackson didn't create the triangle offense..the basic ideas of the offense was established by Hall of Fame couch Sam Barry which was later refined by Tex Winters..Jackson's assistant coach, who should be in the hall of fame by the way.

wowie wow I didn't even get to watch the game because I was at some freakin graduation but the people next to me were updating me on the score. first I heard we were up by 20 and like 30 minutes or an hour I hear that we're only up by 11, I got wtf to the guy next to me and he's like don't worry we got this game and I look at him and i tell him remember that lakers comeback on the celtics but he didn't pay attention to me. then I look at the highlights now and see all these mistakes in the third quarter and early 4th. Man now we have to win 3 straight, with 2 on the road. believe it or not I still believe lakers can still take it all

lol...yea i've always loved the celtics...there's only been ONE time i've been happy to see the celtics lose a playoff series and that was in 03-04 when the pacers swept them...but then the next year they fell apart to that stupid brawl =( lol...but now i have no respect for the pacers...still my number 1 team at heart, but i hate just about every current player (except danny granger) now the celtics are pretty much overall my number favorite team and i picked them to win it all in the off-season...once i say who all they picked up and got, i was just shocked...i just had to go with them, and the haven't disappointed me yet (bit of a scare with those game 7's though, lol)

oh yes...it is very possible...the heat won four straight against dallas in 2006...so i know the lakers can win 3 straight BUT...the question is NOT whether they can win 3 straight...the question is...can they stop the celtics from winning just ONE more...especially with 2/3 at boston very unlikely, but at the same time...very possible

Not even next year? With Bynum?...X360PS3AMD05

Bynum got better before his injury.. But at the beginning of the season, he sucked. Idk, hes just an irregular player (hes not consistent) and teams like the Spurs will be stronger next season because of their horrible season this year. Phoenix fired Mike D'Antoini that was having good results with the Suns but they got tired of losing the playoffs so for next season, they want to win the nba championship.

Same with Detroit and Cleveland. Idk, Maybe what the Celtics made this season (buying KG and Allen) will inspire or motivate other teams to do the same with other players. Gilbert Arenas will be a free agent so will be Mr. Baron Davis and many other great stars. So everything can change.

Bynum did good before his injury. He helped a lot the team but idk using Gasol, Odom and Bynum can affect the team's performance (maybe that's just a guess) because remember Phil Jackson knows a lot about strategies

anyways, idc.. that's the future :P The present says BOSTON MADE A HUGE COMEBACK AND WON GAME 4!!!! :D

I remember Doc Rivers showed clips of Muhammed Ali's fights, and made this statement over and over again: "It's not how many times you get hit and keep getting hit, it's whether or not you move forward and hit back."

I wonder if that went into their heads in this game?

Dont get me wrong i think if any team could come back and take the series its LA, i just dont think they will. The Celtics need to play with that fire we saw in the second half, and while i dont think it will happen in the next game, the intensity at the garden with these guys makes it very unlikely that the Cs would drop 2 at home

I think Boston will take this one. My reasons;

  • Boston was not on fire on the second half, they just play like that. They were just slumping at the first half.
  • Lakers can't possibly win 2 straight games at Boston, unless Pau shows some guts and Sasha stops acting like a superstar.
  • Inconsistency on the line up of Lakers.
  • Boston is hungry.
Feel free to correct me.

I hope this shows the youngins out there, that Kobe will never be as good as Jordan.

On topic though, I can't recall the last time I saw an NBA finals team blow such a big lead. Congrats to the City of Champions, the Pats may have choked but at least the Celtics won one for ya.

You beat me to it. It's amazing how all these kids come on here a month ago and proclaim Kobe as the best player ever (hell there was even a thread that said Kobe > Jordan), and now they are nowhere to be found. You gotta love the blind fans who were too young to even watch and appreciate Michael in his prime and swear Kobe is god. Well i hate to break it to you but your boy couldn't hold Jordan's you know what. I don't even care if the lakers somehow comeback to win the series, this just shows you how great a player like Jordan was. Anyone who still REALLY believe kobe is better than jordan should truly be banned from watching basketball ever again, cause i promise you, with your season on the line and a 25 point lead, Michael Jordan would have NEVER LET his team choke like that, NEVER.

Why? They paid thousands of dollars to be there, just a bunch of rich celebrities, they don't go crazy like real fans. Just look at Boston fans......

I think the Spurs and Suns will go downhill next year, the Jazz, Hornets and Blazers will be the teams to beat.
wowie wow I didn't even get to watch the game because I was at some freakin graduation but the people next to me were updating me on the score. first I heard we were up by 20 and like 30 minutes or an hour I hear that we're only up by 11, I got wtf to the guy next to me and he's like don't worry we got this game and I look at him and i tell him remember that lakers comeback on the celtics but he didn't pay attention to me. then I look at the highlights now and see all these mistakes in the third quarter and early 4th. Man now we have to win 3 straight, with 2 on the road. believe it or not I still believe lakers can still take it allandyboiii
2 wins at the garden when they haven't won once in that building this year :? I'll keep the faith, they just have to take it one a time. As for now, like Kobe said, everyone needs to go get drunk and get over it then move onto Sunday

What are you smoking? I don't see where that even comes into play, they are both great players, and this doesn't show how Kobe is inferior  I'm sure Jordan would have choked too if Rodman, Pippen etc. didn't show up to play like Odom and Gasol (well Odom in the second half)...........

Ok, Sasha HAD to act like a superstar because everyone else was afraid of trying to score.

[QUOTE="-Renegade"]boston is one of the best shooting teams i have seen in my life. there is no way the lakers will win this series. boston will be back next year but lakers need to step it up. i doubt they will make it next year to the finals.-Renegade

The Lakers is better than anyone of those teams, the West was stacked up this season but the Lakers made it to the NBA Finals despite being incomplete.

The Lakers are better than all of them but he forgot the Rockets,Portland,Nuggets, and some more. But the Lakers are better than all those teams and hoping and praying for Boston vs LA next year cause I've loved this series so far except for game 3 it was very dull and boring.
