[QUOTE="duxup"]Vikings D came thru more than I ever expected today (mostly the line). ASK_StoryWhich is why Drew Brees could have a hard time next week against Vikings' D, if Vikings play like they did today.
Problem with the Vikings is can they bring that intensity on the road?
[QUOTE="duxup"]Vikings D came thru more than I ever expected today (mostly the line). ASK_StoryWhich is why Drew Brees could have a hard time next week against Vikings' D, if Vikings play like they did today. MAYBE... I think of Brees as a better QB and if he can get some passes off the Vikings are VERY weak over the middle of the field.
If they didn't like it, they shouldn't have let them score. It's not the most humble thing to do, but I don't see it as out of line.Cowboy fan here, this game made me sad =(
But what I really wanna know is what did you guys think of Farve throwing that final touchdown?

[QUOTE="Bobbles"][QUOTE="Fizzman"]
Sorry let me clarify. I "was" a Packers fan till they let go of Farve, and then I went whereever Favre went. I still enjoy seeing the Packers play, but I was a bigger Favre fan then Packers fan.
Ok. Still can't ever see myself cheer for a rival ever. Emmitt Smith was my favorite player and when he went to the Cardinals I had no intention on rooting for the Cardinals no matter what. I can understand cheering for the Jets I guess, but the Vikings? Hmm, seems unethical to me.Ohh dont get me wrong I was torn when Favre went to the Vikings, and was like F It. Favre has 1-2 good seasons left so let me cheer for him for as long as possible, and well the Packers arent going anywhere. Besides I hate Ted Thompson, and Mike McCarthy for badly handling the Favre situation, even though Favre was partly responsible aswell. Hey though its Brett Favre he carried the Packers for 17 seasons, and made mediocre Packers teams into solid playoff teams.
I'm right with ya there. I still like the packers and they had a good season, but I'm more of a Favre fan and want to support him and his team.agreed that was messed up. I hope the football gods spite them.[QUOTE="Oleg_Huzwog"]
Passing on 4th down twice in the last 5 minutes with a 24 point lead? Karma will bite them.

Yes, the "football gods" should spite them for playing football  This is the playoffs and you play the game for 60 minutes.

That is an incredibly stupid statement. You play to win the game. The game was over long ago. There was no reason to score that touchdown other than to humiliate the Cowboys.[QUOTE="Drakefor3"]If they didn't like it, they shouldn't have let them score. Much easier said than done. I think at that point when you have such a gigantic lead with 2 minutes left in the game, you run it to make sure no one gets injured by accident and the clock runs out. Also, Farve went on like a cheering rampage afterwards. Don't get me wrong, he had a fantastic game, but I think when you have such a large lead, you show class.
Back to being Dallas is winning Super Bowls, 5 to be exact. So were not quite there yet.The offense scores points right???? I was so glad to see the Vikes rub it in the cowpokes faces. Looks like Dallas is back to being Dallas

Dude don't be ignorant. You DON'T pass in that situation plain and simple stop trying to sound like a hardass or some football elitist no ones impressed. Very classless move by the Vikings
On another note I'm very dissapointed with the Cowboys it seemed their only goal this postseason was to win one playoff game. They came out uninspired today in every phase of the game. Poor play calling and ABSOLUTELY NO protection for Romo. Excluding this game though I couldn't be happier with their season NFC East champs, dominated the Eagles all season long, swept the Redskins and the Giants stayed away from the playoffs. Very excited for next year they have a good foundation and should be strong contenders for the NFC title. This was a very successful season for a team that wasn't even supposed to sniff the NFC East title, let alone win a Playoff game.
BTW Edwards on the Vikings had a great game hats off to him and the entire Vikings D line.
And I don't even know where to start with this post. Ignorant? Hardass? Football elitist  No idea what you're talking about.

Always the "classless" talk, pffft gets old, they got owned hard tough, this is the sport where you can punish someone for it and the Cowgirls got tossed. Did anyone say anything about the Pats? No they were all over their jock that year.X360PS3AMD05What? Yes, people were talking about the Pats running up the score the whole year that year. Where were you?

I wonder how good Keith Brooking felt when his guys blew out Philly last week? There's a word for guys like this, but this is GS, so I can't use it. Screw Dallas, I'm glad the real Tony Romo showed up to remind us all what a choker he is.
Lol, cause Dallas was throwing on 4th down last week in the 4th quarter? Don't recall. You can blame Romo if you want, but the offensive line deserves more blame than anyone.I wonder how good Keith Brooking felt when his guys blew out Philly last week? Its so ridiculous that the Jets won. If the Colts lose next week Im going to kill myself, even if the Vikings win, the Jets winning will anger me more then the Vikings make it to the superbowl.

We stopped watching after the 3rd so idk about this whole rubbing in the face deal, so I won't comment, nor do I care.
Anyways, Dallas got whipped. On every position. Especially that O-line. I think (I Hope) that NO/Minny game will be close. Oh well, at least we know they can win a playoff game. Maybe next year. Good things still happened, like seeing the Giants become worthless and sweeping the skins and the Egals 3 times.
Dallas won the division, clearly the best team in the NFC East, yes thats a jab to all you haters out there who are NFC East fans. Still tho a failed season because no superbowl. I realise Eagles fans would of though of this season a success but we think differently. ;)

Cause he's brash I take it? Hey I'll take him over Mangini any day.
So much for the "nobody wants wants to play these teams in the playoffs they're hot!" list of Philli, San Diego, and then the Cowboys :o
Also I'm a bit suprised he Cowboys weren't a bit more hopeful later in the game. The Vikings got a quick lead but they didn't bother closing the door until late. Still the Cowboys didn't seem to try any screens or methods to remove pressure until too late nor did they seem to have their heart in the game when they still had a chance.

This is true, but there is an "unsaid" rule. The game was over, there was no reason to score that last TD. It helped the Vikings by () much. Seriously, it was meaningless. Everyone knew the game was over, yet the Vikings piled it on. It was uneaded no matter how much people deny it.[QUOTE="hedden93"]That is an incredibly stupid statement. You play to win the game. Kicking a FG does nothing to change the amount of possessions they would have been up by and you risk a blocked kick, so they went for a TD. They were in the readzone and had been running the ball before that.i loved this beatdown so much.lol i hate dallas with a passion.

The whole "classless" thing from Crybaby Brooking is ridiculous imo. The Vikes played hard for the entire game. If the Cowboys had done that, maybe the game would have turned out different for them. They had a chance to score points so they took it. That's the whole point of an offense. Giving the defense mercy plays or mercy points would be way more classless than the offense just going out there and doing their job.
It should also be noted that all the Cowboys had to do was get out their and not make a fool of themselves and the play would failed. I hope the Cowboys don't spend the off season complaining about class and ignoring the issues that caused them to get blown out in the first place. At the end of the day, that's what Brooking sounds like to me. His team went out there and played horribly for 60 minutes straight and rather than look at his own shortcomings he points the finger at the Vikings and calls the offense classless for doing ridiculous things like playing hard and scoring points.
Chris Chase from Yahoo! News said it best imo, "Just because the Cowboys quit doesn't mean the Vikings needed to also."

I understand that you play to win the game, the game was already won at that point. What do you prove or gain by scoring on 4 and 3 with under 2 minutes left to play in a game that was 27-3? NOTHING! Personally I don't care either way, the Vikes played well and they deserved to do what they wanted to at that point. The Cowboys didn't play well enough to win the game end of story. It is what it is.Oh and side comment about the stat given at the half. One of the halftime show goons (I loath them) noted that the Cowboys only ONCE in their entire history have come back from being 14 or more points down at the half in a game.... wt? Really? I gotta think you accidentally would comeback from 14 or more in your teams history a few times...duxupI thought they said in the playoffs, not overall.
