There should be a rule that stops Andy Dalton from being in a pro bowl...ever.

Didn't get to watch the pro-bowl, but I hear Stafford kicked some serious ass. Good to hear. He may not be the best quarterback around but he is solid. I wonder if his pro-bowl showing will be indicative of his play next year if the Lions fix that POS O-line.

I wouldn't read too much into the Pro Bowl if I were you.

@sherman-tank1: Only reason I read that bit into it is because the O-line was just so awful for the Lions this year. I have noticed a pattern this year that when the O-line actually holds up, Stafford's play has been MUCH better than in past years.

He hits way more targets now (not just throw to Calvin Johnson) and in general he has managed not only to cut his interception number in HALF, but it seems more and more of them are the recievers fault or a good defensive tip rather than him making a dumb decision.

I think the O-lines weakness was by far the biggest cause of the Lions lack of offense this year. If they improve that our offense could be pretty scary with Stafford ay the helm.

I'd like to thank Marshawn Lynch for taking the media day burden off us yesterday. I think we've reached the point where the media was almost desperate to find anything else to talk about.

Pretty sure Lynch is at least half retarded. Probably explains why he is so strong.

I hope Marshawn Lynch runs for 200 yards and gets Super Bowl MVP. Meanwhile Richard Sherman gets a couple INTs to top it off.

The media's whining is so annoying

Oh stop with this they carried their teams shit. When Brady won the 3 superbowls his defense was ranked 6, 1 and 2. Shit when they were 19-0 they had the number 4 defense in the NFL. Carried eh? Sure he didn't have the stars other players have had but carrying the team? Belicheat is a defensive coach, and he is the best.

When Peyton won the SB he had the 23rd ranked defense, that season he actually carried the team. He has had a shit defense (20 and above) for 5 of 13 years in Indy. He had a top 10 defense 5 times in 13 years. Made it to another SB once with a top 10 defense. In denver he had a top 5 defense his first year, lost in divisional. Last year he had the 22nd ranked defense and made the SB, this year he had a mediocre injury prone defense ranked 16. Peyton has great numbers, great everything. Why he has a losing record in the playoffs? Who knows, multiple reasons.

Rodgers has had some shitty ass defenses but guess what? When he won the Superbowl their defense was ranked 2nd, there you go. This is a team game and im tried of hearing this carrying their team shit. Defenses are a huge key to any teams success. I realize you weren't saying they don't matter, im simply just tired of hearing this whole "he carried his team" shit.

Wilson has had the number 1 defense the last 2 years, 2 superbowl appearances.

As for Romo he has had a top 10 defense once in 9 years. They were ranked 2nd in 2009, won the division and lost in divisional playoffs to the Vikings that year.

The conclusion? Is Romo better than these guys? No. I wouldn't take him and the only ones who would are pure homers with silver and blue blinders. Simply saying the term "carrying" is being thrown around a good amount these days.

I understand this is super late.

Great, let's ignore Brady's 05 team that was 17th in scoring defense and 26th in yards, his 10 team that was 25th in yards, top 10 in scoring misleading defense don't you think?, his 11 team that was 31st in yards and 15th in scoring, his 12 team that was 25th in yards and 9th in scoring, and last years injury depleted barely had any talent roster that he took to an AFC title game. His Superbowl teams were balanced, but some of his other teams made the playoffs because of two simple reasons. Bill Bellichick and Tom Fucking Brady

Let's move on to PeyPey

99: Colts are 17th in scoring, 15th in yards

00: 15th in scoring, 21st in yards

03: 20th in scoring, 11th in yards

04: 19th in scoring, 29th in yards (all star lineup of weapons, I know)

listen I can add to that, point is, I'm not saying they carry their team every year. But there is a difference. It doesn't matter what's been around them at their best, they got to the playoffs ever year. Rodgers didn't have a running game till last year and this year with Eddie Lacy. Only his 09 and 10 team could actually play any defense with any consistency, and to a lesser extent this year. So I yeah I will fucking say they carried their teams kickind and screaming to the playoffs, because large chunk of games those teams won came down to their QB could have a monster game, while the other team didn't have a QB to go blow for blow with him. The Cowboys, lost a lot of fucking games on Romo's arm, and only his apologists would pretend he doesn't have a tendency to throw a shitty ass pass with the game on the line. Please throw that BS 4th quarter statistic at me, and then tell if it showed up in key games outside of this past year. If you want to act like Peyton has had a shit load of weapons (which he has), then fine, let's also not act like Romo hasn't had his share of weapons either. The result however has been the same 9 years, only 4 playoff appearances, 2 wins. He's not a spring chicken, he isn't actual devoid of an injury history, and it's not like he hasn't shown some physical weaknesses over the years.

You don't like the term "carried" fine, let's replace it with when Peyton, Brady, Rodgers were the leading men, and those teams ran mostly on their QB's ability to move the ball, and not manage the game. They made the fucking playoffs almost every year. Romo and Rapist in that aspect have actually missed the playoffs. Quite a few times actually. In the case of Romo he's missed it 5 times, with last year being a maybe he could have made it if he played the final game. And In Rapist's case he's missed the playoffs 4 times. So where as I understand the argument for Brady/Rodgers needing to do more, I don't really care for it as an argument for Romo and Rapist. Their teams miss the playoffs as often with those guys slinging the ball all day.

Wilson's team is stacked, but it's also stacked on one side- defense. Dude makes plays, isn't throwing to some all star lineup of receivers, and it be one thing if someone said he's better than Brady, Rodgers, Brees, or an in his prime and healthy Peyton (I do however think at this point you have to hold peyton's age and depreciating skills against him), or even Luck. They are better. But the rest of the cats are getting by on volume of games played, Russels actual skill set is terrific, and one lousy outing should not condemn him to mediocrity. When mother fucking Roethlisberger has a ring with the shittiest performance in a superbowl, and Romo likes throwing the ball to the other team when the game is on the line, I think we can give Russel a bit of a free pass for one supremely shitty outing in a playoff game.

If you want to argue Romo and Rapists place via stat line, be my guest, I personally think you're foolish for not taking into account they have way the **** better weapons to work with. But we can agree to disagree there. I'd put him in that top 5 fairly early at this point as he's delivered in big spots, he has a terrific set of skills on a physical level, usually doesn't make a lot of mistakes, isn't throwing to prime time weapons or in a pass heavy offense, and is on the upswing as a player.

If the NFL could go ahead and join the 21st century by airing their awards show live instead of expecting fans to avoid the internet and other sports channels, that'd be great.

Pretty tired of the cheating comments. Its been 8 years since Spygate and people still go on about it, and now this only makes it worse. If the allegations aren't true, then the NFL needs to shut up. If they are true, then wtf Belichick. have some personal integrity.

I really don't get what the big deal is... Blount ran all over Indy, didn't really matter.

It is a big deal, IF (keyword being IF) pats did use under inflated balls because it is most likely that IF they did, they didnt just use them in that one game

So.....to win a share of my buddy's pool bracket I need 3 things:

  • Seahawks to win.
  • Wilson to win MVP.
  • Oh, and 'hawks need to win by at least 22.

So I guess I got the Seahawks. But I don't think they will by 22 (yep, I got a little bit carried away by last year beatdown!).
