Sounds like a 'Murder Suicide'. The mistress killed McNair with many bullets to the head and chest... then shot herself in the head. Damn shame.

And bad to worse

His wife has been trying to contact him for days and he's been dating Sahel Kazemi for months

I hate things like this, I really hope there's some sort of explaination to explain all of this.

Jaysonguy
It's a huge tragedy. I'm a big fan of Mcnair, but what he was doing was wrong. Dating a 20 year old? In the car when she had a DUI days before? What was he thinking? So sad...

Agreed. He got what he deserved imo. I dont care what anybody says you cant justify what he was doing. Dude was married with kids and he was caught up being with another woman. I pray that God gives both families strength to get through this. Especially his wife and sons. It must be excruciating having to tell your childrentheir dad is dead and how he died with another woman.

I understand that everything looks the worst right now and it very well could be the worst but the least we can do is wait until all the information is in

I agree with you Jaysonguy but most likely McNair was cheating with the lady and the girl killed him and herself.

You right but all signs are pointing to him being unfaithful.

Yeah that one got me too. That's far too extreme don't you think? I mean i come from a family where i was the kid who had his father have an affair and run out onhis family. I don't have much of a relationship with him at all (for many reasons to go along with the affair), but at no point would i say my dad "deserved to be murdered" for having an affair

Poor choice of words on my part and I apologize for that. I just meant alot of people do dirt and dont think they will get caught or suffer the consequences. It seems his ultimate punishment was death. We will never know the full details about why he was murdered or what set the girl off to do something so tragic. Alot of people are mentally unstable and as far as we know maybe McNair was leading this young lady on and playing with her emotions about saying he would be with her. Who knows. Anyway two lives are lost and two families are devastated.

Wow. Get off your high horse. I pray to "God" you don't have kids.

Nice of you to ignore the other statement I followed up with. And I have a 4 month old daughter. Im not on a high horse either. What happened happened. The man was cheating and he paid for it with his life. I feel bad for both families but thats about it. His wife and sons have to go on knowing their husband and father died cheating. And her family has to live with the fact that she was cheating with a married man and took a husband and father away from this world.

"What he deserved", was pretty harsh, but as you said, poor choice of words. I would say if things are as the police are looking at them, (murder/suicide) it's definitely a situation that he should not have put himself in in the first place. It's going to be really tough for his wife and four boys living with the knowledge of how completely unneccessary this tragedy was, I wish them the best in the tough times ahead.

Poor choice of words on my part and I apologize for that. I just meant alot of people do dirt and dont think they will get caught or suffer the consequences. Is it confirmed that he was cheating on his wife? Or is the murder/suicide idea still just a theory? If it's true then I have lost all respect for McNair. I watch all of these players along with the news media make the guy out to be such a great person on TV, yet he died while cheating on his wife? Great

While I do not support cheating, it isn't fair to flat out say McNair was an "ass" basically. We don't know why he did it. Maybe they were on a "break". Maybe she had cheated on him before. Who knows?

I saw a video of McNair and this woman para-sailing together, poor guy looked like he was in love.

But I wonder why a celebrity would be okay with a video being made with another woman if what he were doing was wrong, perhaps he truly was seperated from his wife and looking to move on. Let's not judge the guy.

Yes, he was obviously cheating. Murder/Suicide, it isnt confirmed, but from the first night of reading detail, its sounds like it. The door was locked, no sign of forced entry, he was shot twice in the head, twice in the body, his girlfriend was shot once in the head, on the side. Also, breaking news, Police believe the gun was hers, she owned it. smh..

It turns out he wanted to divorce, well at least that is what he told her, in two weeks. He was not separated from his wife. So maybe he changed his mind and that is when she shot him. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/2009-07-05-steve-mcnair-cover_N.htm?csp=34

Also, his wife didnt know..

The guy was LEGALLY married still to his wife. I dont care why he cheated or the circumstances to have him be with this girl. The fact is he was a married man and father. He had no business doing what he did. Nobody can justify what he did. And even if his wife did cheat on him before why not just get a divorce then? But I have my doubts she ever cheated on him. But the point is moot. He got caught up doing something he should not have been doing and he paid for it with his life.

[QUOTE="Tjeremiah1988"][QUOTE="MoonMarvel"] So if you cheat on your wife you deserve to die then?chAzN93

no, but you should be aware of the negative consequences that will unfold.

there should be negative consequences..but you think death is one of them?

Death is a negative consequence so yes. Sad but either way, lived or not, his family and wife would have never been the same. His girlfriend probably would of sued him dry claiming he raped her or something. Nothing good comes from what he did, negative consequences are to be expected and in this case, it was death.

I dont think anybody is saying he deserved to die. Just that he had to pay the consequences of his actions. Which in his case was death. Some people get sued, beat up,etc... for cheating but his punishment was death. He had no idea he would lose his life over this and nobody else probably did not think so either. You play with fire and you will get burned. What do you think should have happened for him being a cheater and betraying his wife and kids?

This is so sad, everyone has to say their words just so

"The Steve McNair that I knew"

It's a shame that already people are saying "only remember this part of him"

It shouldn't be like this. I mean the guy was always in the conversation for the NFL Man of the Year.

ESPN is really pathetic trying to make it seem like the people of TN are completely ignorant as to people being able to have a dark side to them. Sure, we looked up to him, he was the foundation of the organization and was always involved in the community, so naturally everyone respected him. I don't know where I'm going with this, someone else may be able to fill in the words..but I don't like how ESPN is portraying the circumstances of his death and the reaction of Nashville..it's just incorrect and is not reflective at all.

Who are you to judge him? We've all did some dirt in our life. Don't try to act like a saint. Theres only one person that can truly judge him and thats god. Not you.

I've lost a lot of respect for this man. MoonMarvel
I did lose some respect for cheating, but I still consider how he paved the way for more African Americans to play Qb in the NFL, his humanitarian work for organizations, his toughness on the field, his leadership to his teammates, and how he helped the victims in Katrina. I will remember McNair as a courageous person, but it is a wakeup call showing professional athlete's personal lives are flawed. But that doesn't take it away from the legacy I will see from him and remember him.

I'm sure most of professional athletes have screwed up personal lives, I'm not justifying him cheating on his wife. But I will not judge him based soley on that.
