The sooner they release it the longer we'll have to wait for FFXIII and Versus XIII and I definately want those to be released first (I'd like the next Kingdom Hearts game to come out first too). There are too many good games I'm waiting for that in my opinion are so much more important than another remake.

Square Enix needs to stop starting new projects before current ones are finished so things come out faster. I mean what if they focused ALL their energy on FFXIII and the new FFTA2 then they'd come out much faster rather then doing every other project too like Last Remnant, this compilation stuff, Infinite Oddessy, the new MMORPG, and theres much more, I mean geez their plate is so full it's not funny. Yah i agree with Yuna ..... id would much rather see XIII Versus XIII and KHIII before a remake of VII......... remaking VII is not necessary in my mind.....its just that it would be really cool :P

Agree also, I wouldn't put the remake above their new titles, but I could see them doing the remake after those are released (FFXIII/LR/whatever else) which still gives them years to do the remake, in coordination with their "20 years of FFVII" stuff.

I think there's more than one way to interpret that pic...it could mean a remake, at some point in the future. Or, just like the screens from that last scene from Crisis Core, it could just be a way of saying that Crisis Core is VII's prequel and that the story continues in FFVII. (This is the more boring way to look at it :P)

Regardless....I think it's coming. Just not for a long long time.

I think it's just saying that Crisis Core takes place before Final Fantasy and that if you want to see the rest of the story that you'll need to play ffvii directly after. I think it's still going to be a long time until SE has enough time and $$ to remake vii. They said it'd take at least 5 years with almost all their staff, and personally I don't want them to drop every other series just to remake a game that all of us have already played. crushgoil

I agree that it may take a while for them to remake it, if they are going to. All their dev teams are otherwise engaged with other projects. But I would like them to remake it myself. While not my favorite FF, I would like to go through it again with voice acting and improved graphics.

I am looking forward to Crisis Core, but with hesitation as I thought Dirge was mediocre and am getting fed up of SE making spin offs... :(

Emulators, I've got one on my laptop to play PS1 games, you can also have your comp play PS2 games (if you have a good enough graphics card and RAM) There are also Emulators for PSPs to play PS1 games, all you gotta do is download the software onto it and set it up and you're good to go.
