Remakes

Hahahahahaha! How very true! It's rare not to find FFVII fanboys going crazy saying: FFVII is the best FF ever! Final Fantasy VI are a lil' crazy. :) Anyway, I'm a FFXI fan, so I'm hated on! Hahahahaha! Anyway, I don't think FFVII should be remade, however I believe they will to milk it even further. Count on it.

I am really hoping for another game with XIIs type of battle system. That alone made the game really enjoyable. :( However it's not going to be like that for Final Fantasy XIII... Andraxal

I'm confused about something. If I loved FFVI through FFIX and liked FFV through FFX, how do I decide who to argue for and against? I guess I could trash FFXII, but that doesn't seem fair, since it was a nice game that those folks put a lot of work into. But I want to get in on the debate! So...anyone who badmouths FFVI through FFIX, prepare for battle!

It didn't feel like a MMORPG to me. A lot of haters say that it feels like a MMORPG but it doesn't. You control all the characters except for your guests so it's not much for multiplayer...Besides have you played a MMORPG? Your allies usually spam you more, and do a LOT more retarded things...Hahahahaha!

I always find debating slides into a fanboy bash fest on most sites like this.....typically its one fanboy going against another pulling out any and all reasons to say a game is "bad" or a game is "good". I don't really like getting involved in these types of things, because I respect others views on a game, since its their own, not everybody has to think a game is awesome simply because the majority says it is. Or a game is bad because that is what everybody says, its your own aquired tastes that makes a game fun.

The only way I would probably get involved is if somebody brought up a completely idiotic reason for a game being good or bad. Like simply saying, "This game is the best ever" with no supporting facts or examples (I'm basically an English major so I need to see that kind of stuff in writing or I go crazy now :P ) that is what gets me, at least support your statement. Don't simply say something is bad or good to go against the general views.

That sounds like an interesting idea. I would bring nothing to such a debate, though. "FF6 is the best!!" "Why?" "I played it 15 years ago, and...uh...I remember it being pretty great!" I really need to play these games again so I'll have an informed opinion.

Yea, they do make a lot of rehashes, but new games cost a lot of money to make I guess. And when you think of all the crap games that are out there, SE's games really aren't too bad. When they do come out with something new it is (usually) pretty good.

I'm really looking forward to FFXIII Versus and Last Remnant. It'd be nice to see them in 2008.

Yea, I really agree with that. I don't think it serves them right that it got canned, but I don't feel bad for 'em either since they should've asked for the consent of SE first.
