I also would love to see FF 8 remade because this was one of my favorite games in the series and it would be cool to see Mr. Squall and his gunblade more in depth. OMG, if they remade Xenogears......saying I'd be as giddy as a schoolgirl would be an understatement :lol: Too bad that will most likely never be a reality though :( Stupid Square and you getting rid of the team that made that game!!! :lol:

Yeah...Letting that team go wasnt too smart in my opinion (look how fast that game became viewed as an instant classic) I mean, alot of the old team started up Monolith Soft and started the Xenosaga franchise, but, one of the main story tellers quit and they series didnt make enough money...Xenogears was just TOO nice though. btw...that's Citan Uzukifor your icon right? They bought over Ashe's wedding ring at SE's store, and characters are making cameos on the portable games. There's gotta be ALOT of XII lovers out there and maybe they are picking up on that little by little, you know?

I don't want XII to turn into the next VII (in terms of spin-offs) but I would like to see it get more attention. Revenant Wings is a great start. I'd loooove to see a Balthier/Fran game - but I think I've already said that like a thousand times, hahahaha.

Yeah, those two are cool (it's hard not to think how Balthier talks is cool). A game with those two would be great as long as SE doesnt pull as Dirge of Cerberus (to be fair, I never played it, but, I have yet to hear that the game lived up to any hype). I know Balthier appears in FFT on PSP. Maybe he'll have a nice role in it.

Hmmmm, god I hope not. I don't want them to make spin offs like they did of FFVII...However they might make a Basch or Balthier spin off....which interests me. Why in the world would they make a Ashe's Wedding ring? I never actually saw the thing other than the cut scene it was in...and I NEVER remembered it until the end of the game, nor did I ever see it again....*Sigh* :roll:Andraxal

Like Celes said, so far, Revenant Wings is a good start so far. And, I think Balthier is a great character that's hard to ignore. I think they'd make her ring mostly for the same reason why you can find Squall and Tidus' chain for sale. It just makes for a nice thing to wear for some people who really noticed it, or, just love that character.

hahahaha, no I really don't like Squall. I didn't mind that he was moody at the beginning, I just didn't like that all of a sudden he just did a complete 360 and was a different person on like disc 3 and on. (In the sense that all of a sudden he's like, "I love you Rinoa." ...etc.)

I finished the game because, well it was my first PS1 FF I had ever played and so I wanted to finish it. I had already bought it at the time and I didn't want that money wasted. Back in the day I used to actually finish games that I would buy... :P (now...not so much.) I was kinda crazy when I was younger and so I would always try and finish games on 100%, even if I wasn't the biggest fan. Granted, a had a whole lot more time on my hands than I do now. :P

I think the Lionheart is cool looking (I like the pretty blue colour) and it did a ton of damage. But the idea of the gunblade as a whole, I don't like.

As far as Squall changing so abruptly, I believe they did that because the game couldn't be too long... it would be hard for them to work it out, and I don't see they doing something like a screen where it would say "3 years later" :P

Same here. For the most part, him being moody wasnt too much of a big deal. I mean, it happens sometimes when you're that age or younger. But,it bothered the hell out of me when he would act like a jerk towards people for no good reason (whether it was hormonal or deep rooted issues is something I stopped caring about eventually). Then, out of nowhere, he's this fearless, girl saving, soldier (lol, the second I noticed it, I had to restart from my last save 'cause I thought I missed somethin' huge). I tried finishing the game twice, but, I never did. I'd hoped there was a great explaination behind his behavior ('cause he honestly made me not interested in him and the gameeventually) but I never heard one...

The gunblade sounded interesting, but, I didnt get how it worked. I didnt notice a barrel where bullets would go out, so, it led me to think the bullet just fired directly into the blade, which made me ask why the weapon didnt break or blow his hand off or somethin. But, after seeing Rough Divide, I didnt question it much. Lionheart looked...ok to me. Kinda looked like a cross between Cloud's Omnislash and a Sailor Moon transformation. It was insanely powerful, but, Zell's was more amusing to me :)

I loved the gunblade too!! But.. there isn't a single part of FF8 that I didn't love completely.. Obviously I adore love stories though..

That's true! I had never thought of it in that way. It would be rather silly to see a "3 years later" screen. hahahahaha. But I do wish that the transition would have been more subtle. Or with at least more of an explanation.

I did like Wishing Star. It was probably one of the most powerful limit breaks besides Squall's Lionheart (which was amazingly powerful).

You know, Angelo Rush almost sounds right. I am going to go look this up, as it is kind of bugging me now! :P

Anyway...it's been a while since I've played VII, so I can't really answer fairly, as I don't really remember anything about it (I have a horrid memory, I should play Brain Age and fix it XD ).

It's okay, I'm just trying to lay down the law. :( It seems to have taken off in a big way, and gotten lots of responses but not on topic. I'ma fix that though. From here on please do not referr to the above conversations. :) Anyway, some scenes should be added for Zack. Especially when Aerth referrs to him the first time she meets Cloud even if it is a flashback. I also thought there should've been more scenes with Sephiroth walking around the various places, even if they did a ghost like thing of him. They need a scene with him in the Ancients Maze, how did that Red Dragon get there? Also Jenova should be completely redone, or made more human like so the audience can relate more to it. I don't referr to it as a her because it's genderless really, even if it has a womans face on it's casket. It's a biomorphical specimen. :)

Nope. Why add more content, when you're making 10 years of spinoffs?

I dunno, they should get a GREAT voice actor for Jenova. They should change the way she looks to make her more tangable in a more realistic enviorment. I mean where int he world does that oozy type being keep sneaking up from? I'm saying, why not make it more realistic and make her change forms each time you fight her, or change the battles a little bit. Like when you fight her right before Aeris dies, make her morph into something more human. Why does she looks the same each time only with different colors? They could do a lot with it, they had potential. Jenova needed more lines, make her more personofied. You know? We should see more scenes of her manipulating Sephiroth, or discussing her master plan or something. Yeah, and I'm not marking spoilers for Aeris' death, since only those living in caves wouldn't know she dies. Andraxal

He's right. Before the spin-offs, the thought of a remake excited me ever since the rumors of it happenin' way back when the PS2 came out. But, it looks like SE is filling in any possible gaps in the original story with a bunch of spin-offs/side-sequels/prequels/etc. I can definately expect SE to toss around the idea in the press as time goes on, just like this: http://www.adventchildren.net/fullstory.php?subaction=showfull&id=1187758737&archive=&start_from=&ucat=37& as well as in some interviews on IGN.

The gunblade sounded interesting, but, I didnt get how it worked. I didnt notice a barrel where bullets would go out, so, it led me to think the bullet just fired directly into the blade, which made me ask why the weapon didnt break or blow his hand off or somethin. But, after seeing Rough Divide, I didnt question it much. Lionheart looked...ok to me. Kinda looked like a cross between Cloud's Omnislash and a Sailor Moon transformation. But anyway - you know what limit break was really funny? Well, I don't remember the name of it, but one of Rinoa's limit breaks has Angelo launching from Rinoa's arm. Now...come on, this is a full-sized Border Collie. And it launches from her arm? She must be buff! Or something! It's kind of silly and it always made me giggle. (Probably one of the reasons as to why I always wished for that limit break).

Does anyone know what I am talking about or remember the name? 'Cause if not, then I'm gong to feel really dumb rambling on like this. :P

lol, I never noticed it before, but, that limit break was pretty damn weird, even for a fantasy world. How the hell do you launch a big dog off your arm? That's crazy.
