[QUOTE="queen_valentine"][QUOTE="IpodHero176"][QUOTE="queen_valentine"][QUOTE="kryu88"]We really can't judge XIII just yet, its hardly even near completion and we've seen very little about it since it was first introduced back in E3 06 (or was it 05, :? ) So far, it looks very....actiony (word?) and more real time, SE is slowly but surely going away from the turn based formula in FFs. I'm not saying its bad and it may be a good move to do something different, and we all know SE needs to do something different for the future :P
I remember years back (back when I got my PS2 in 01) there was this big rumor that SE wasn't going to make a FF past XV (15) and it would end there. Do you guys think that rumor (from years ago mind you) would honestly come true? Especially with the way SE is running now, I don't think they would abandon their big franchise.

I think versus is supposed to be more action-based than XIII. Or maybe it's the other way around. I can't remember! Well, regardless, one of them is more actiony than the other. Which one that is, I can't recall. But you are right to say we cannot judge XIII (or versus) by any means - we don't now much about either of them. We can only assume as to what it will be like.
Yeah this is all true indeed but let s look at the big picture guys. If SE keep bringing out FF games past XV people willl start to assume that FF is their life support and that they can t operate without their flagship RPG. Also people will be tired of FF and began to grow weary of the game and that is not wat u want.

I remember in the olden days when there was only up to FFVI talking to my sister, "wouldn't it just be crazy if FF got to like X or XI? I just don't see that happening!" We always talked about that and well....I am still playing XII and waiting for XIII. I really don't think it'll just end at XV. I think I'd be crushed if FF ended. That series is what got me started on RPGs and made me love them in the first place.
And I agree with what Yuna said - SE has done a good job changing things up so every FF still feels like a new experience - whether that be setting, battle system, theme, etc.
Start playing the Blue Dragon series?;)
...I don't get it. hahaha, sorry!
There's no joke. I was being serious.
Oh, hahahaha, OK. Sorry for my being dumb :P
