SQUARE ENIX CHARACTER SYSTEM RULES & GUIDELINESWhat it is: A system in which each member of this union (Square Enix Experience) can pick a Square Enix character for themselves. One Square Enix character per member, and it can even include Summons (Shiva, Ifrit, etc) or Slimes (Blue, Silver, etc), for example, but not limited to. Any kind of character (or monster) from any SE game.How to have a character assigned: First, you can chose a character from any Square Enix game you'd like to be representing. For instance, if you like Seifer from FFVIII, you can chose him and from now on, you will be Square Enix Experience's 'official' Seifer. Post here on this topic your character choice!Other considerations: This system is a first come, first serve based one, so that we prevent discrimination, favouritism, etc. However, every few months, the SEE Character System Caretaker will hold a Roll Call with a 3-4 week deadline. Anyone who does not respond to the Roll Call will be considered inactive and their character will be taken away so other (active) members can choose it if they would like.Another important thing is, when you choose your character, please choose wisely. While re-assigning a character is allowed, it is something that we try not to do too often as it can be quite a bit of work to make the tags. After Roll Call, it is understandable, but otherwise, let's try to keep it to a minimum. ;) Also, the member who choses a SE character will automatically give the union members permission to be called by that character name. For example, if I chose to represent Terra, I automatically give everyone here at the union permission to call me by Terra instead of michelle_moraes, if you wish (or if it is easier to spell) of course. That will also help to make union members be unique and also be easier identified by those characters we all love. Again, you don't have to call the members by their character names, but if you want to, you will have permission to do so.These are made upon request, since they will bear the user's Gamespot nickname, Square Enix Experience nickname, and their official rank at the union (recruit, officer, etc). When you request your character, make sure you post your request on this thread (not any other graphic request thread).In the event of Promotion/Demotion: When any member gets promoted (or demoted) the SEE Character System Caretaker will automatically make a new tag with your new rank on it. Instructions on how to upload your character sign tag:First off, you must find the link for your signature. You can do this by right-clicking the tag that is posted on this topic; then go to properties and copy and paste the link you will see on that information menu (under 'Location').Then, go to your preferences here on Gamespot; that should pop up a window with many options. Select the tab that reads 'Forums'. Scroll down to where it says 'My Signature' and paste [ IMG] (the URL you found earlier) [/ IMG], without the spaces or parenthesis, and it should work! I figured I should just post it here for all new members to see if your difficulty uploading your tags! Here I'm using member 'Storm' as our skape goat :P So follow the instructions accordingly with your own tag mmkay! ^_^1) Copy the URL of your sig: http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd42/see_admin_account/charactertags/SEE-smootheyes2-storm.jpg 2) - Then in Gamespot, go to the top of the page where it has your profile name and pic, and next to it it has Prefs | help | logout.
