Rikku walks slowly over to the bulletin board where her notice for hire is posted. She gazes sadly at the words she penned with such excitement hanging there in front of her. "So much for being in on the action," she sighs, "I guess I've got no choice but to be a spectator now..." She pulls the notice off the board and crumples it, heaving it as far out of sight as she can. With tears in her eyes she runs back into the shadows to watch, once again, but to participate no more.

Nel is sitting in her tent still laughing at the sight of Runic Warriors rolling around in Sleipnir's dropping, when a pigeon hits the side of the tent. Going outside she picks the pigeon up. It's worn out from flying. Nel wonders where the bird came from when she notices a note. Taking it and reading, she is surprised. Hmmm. A note to Shadow from some guy named Kefka. Seems he has spies in the area. Interesting. Nel takes the note and hides it.

Nel's phone rings. Answering it she hears Aeris on the other end. "Can we hire you?" Nel, "Yes, 1500 gil, okay?" Aeris, "Yes, here's what my team wants you do.........." Nel hangs up the phone and smiles. This mercenary work is paying off.

Nel goes to the arena and calls out to the team while drawing the runeology symbol, when the team appears she yells, "Divine Wrath".

Anxious and careless, their eyes dart back and forth in search any sign of attackers that might bring about their demise. None of them notice Odin as he simply lifts his blade and strikes Larxene in the back of the skull with the hilt on Zantetsuken. As she falls, she knocks over Locke followed by Celes. Team Runic tumbles like a set of dominos.

Team Runic Warriors has been eliminated. The good news, Odin just saved a bunch of money on mythical horse insurance by switching to Geico
