$15 for CoD Map Pack is a JOKE

I know it was the same for MW2, but how can CoD fan boys still defend this? $15 for 4 maps that were probably ready to go at launch is a CRIME.

That's great to hear, one of the best things about PC gaming is mods. Usually the community creates better maps than most developers :lol:

And yet, millions of people still buy them every time the maps come out.

You can lay the blame soley at the feet of the 2.5 million idiots who bought MW2's map packs.

Well, yeah. I got 4 new maps for BC2 for free, and that made me want to play the game again for about 2 hours.. I wouldn't even think about getting 4 maps for 15 bucks. Unless I didn't care about money. I'm currently thinking about getting the Vietnam expansion for BC2, which costs less than 15 bucks and is a whole lot more than just 4 new maps. Still not sure if it's worth it, though..

$10 for Halo Reach map pack for 3 maps comes out to $3.33 a map whereas COD is $3 a map. KZ2 has 2 maps for $6 making it even price as cod per map. IDK why you just started thinking dlc is expensive for cod only

i have not bought one map pack this entire gen and the only game i would buy one for (bf 43) never got one.

It's 4 MP maps+1 zombie map so it's basically the same as mw2.

I highly doubht most users will use the mods, most Battlefield 1942 users didnt use the desert combat mod, as awesome as it was

Simple solution is you don't buy them. So many people do and that is why they keep making expensive map packs.

Like that other user pointed out Halo and other FPSs are just as bad. It's becoming an industry wide phenomenon.

I guess they don't mind since the majority of CoD fans just ask their parents for the money.

Also, the same situation happend last year.

It's what you can expect from CoD and really every major publisher at this point. Sadly, if people keep buying it, this will not change, or the maps may become even more expensive.

I bought the MW2 maps, and I really enjoyed them, but I'm not buying the Black ops maps, because I think I'm bored of it.

I believe the maps arecoming out in February, and Killzone 3 is coming out this month, so I'll probably stop playing Black Ops and move on to Killzone.

Pretty much, I can't fathom anyone who would buy some of this DLC they are making these days. Halo, CoD, just about every other shooter really. It is a blind rip off and If you feed the system its never going to go away. I never plan on buying these for such ridiculous prices. I'm glad to see you think 4 maps for 15$ is a good value, but after playing on the PC for all these years that Is almost a slap in the face.

So....Dont buy maps and extra content...Problem solved right? I wanted to play all the maps for COD2,COD4MW,..Wanted the extra missions for Oblivion. Wanted a ton of other maps,pics,extra things...BUT NEVER BOUGHT A SINGLE ONE..NEVER WILL...When I get back into PC gaming in FEB 2011 "building a new rig"...I will get all these games plus every mod,map,extra content known and more for FREE..

DLC = the art of selling someone a bag of Doritos, one chip at a time, for 50 cents per chip

If only more people knew about steam they would realize $15 is a rip off for 4-5 maps. During the holiday sale I have gotten just cause 2 for $7.50, DMC4 for $5, Darksiders for $10, RE5 for $10, and Super meat boy for $.375 and burnout paradise for $5. I'm not telling people to get into PC gaming, I'm just showing them there is much better value for their money.

People should be able to buy the maps as they please. You say they're feeding the machine, so this won't ever go away like it's some terrible thing, it doesn't affect you at all, just don't buy the damn maps then, butthe millions of people that do what them and should have the right to spend their money as they please, will be happy.

How about $6 for 2 maps? (Killzone)

How about the fact that COD gives you a higher amount of maps (14) by default? Charging for 5 extra doesn't seem bad to me considering the rate is still a standard $3/map. If you enjoy COD you will enjoy the maps.

Regardless of if the maps were created before the game or not, they are new maps for us.

4 multiplayer maps and a new zombie map, which will provide hours of playtime. Can't believe people are still complaining about this.
