price drops are usually a sign of desperation

 I thought price drops were a sign of desperation though, I mean if you have no reasoning to back up what you say - why even say it in the first place? Then again, this is SystemWars so I guess I'm just wasting my time.
or maybe you should learn how to read
LOL, someone comes at you and you are just cool and calm, and show them the errors of their ways. LOL nice job, st1ka.just saying, the word "usually" doesn't mean everytime
Then it's interesting. Why did you say it, unless you're claiming that this is the case? It was quite obviously your intent - otherwise there's no reason to make such a remark.
Thing is, pricedrops can be a sign of desperation, a "combat" maneouver, or simply a reflection of the value of a console, which will be reduced over time in normal conditions. Considering that microsoft right now seems to have managed to start being profitable *and* that they pretty much have a record for slowest price decline in consoles, it makes desperation seem quite unlikely.
Or was sony very desperate in the PS2 days? They dropped the price quicker.
