2009 Could be DISASTER for the 360.. FFXIII,Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 2, GOW3

You know something.. I was at work bored as usual today and it hit me like a ton of bricks.. WOW, What is MS going to do in 2009?! They have already rolled out the big games.. Halo 3 already out with no Halo 4 in mind and another Gears sequel possible until 2010.. We have already seen MS try to appeal to the more casual audience and not succeding.. I mean 2009 Could really and truely be the begigining of the end for the 360..

Now I do realize that 2008 was was suppose to be "The year" that sony took over.. But if you think about this for a second, Sony has all regions covered in 2009 with these four HUGE games.. God Of war 3 will own in Europe and America, Killzone 2 will also be huge in Europe and America. Final Fantasy XIII will own In the Asia Market and Gran Turismo 5 will dominate Asia and Europe and also get a really good share in the USA market as well.. now dont get me wrong I do own both a PS3 and xbox 360 and ill be totally honest I love my 360 but ill admit that I love it for its great online shooters that it offers.. All im saying is that MS better conjure up something better than Alan Wake and Halo Wars or they will be in huge trouble for 2009.. We already saw both the 360 and PS3 have terrible sales last month but on the same token 360 and PS3 where tied with consoles sold, 2009 could definitley tip in Sony's favor

I'm sure MS has a few games up there sleeve.....we might see them at E3.

They have Alan Wake on the way and Halo Chronicles for holiday 2009....I'm sure we'll see a few suprises along the way.

There was a rumor on kotaku that FF XIII might not hit until 2010....nothing specific is know about God of War 3, it could come in 2010....Killzone 2 will flop.....MS will probably counter GT5 with Forza 3.

Wait until the end of 2008 to see any kind of victory on the horizon.

Halo: Chronicles is dlc being developed by MS and being lead by Peter Jackson. It is said to be a playable movie, but no one knows for sure. BTW, it doesn't totally destroy it. Mass Effect 2 is specualted to be released in late 09 which would be huge.

Two years is plenty of time since using the same graphics engine will cut out a huge amount of dev time. All the time can be spent on the story.

Forget about sales. Game wise it's a bit of a train wreck right now due to all of the delays. MGS4 will definitely make a lot of PS3 owners happy, but you have to agree that the PS3 is overall a huge disappointment atm.

Look people, companies like Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo are not going to allow huge holes in their software line-up, there are a ton of games in development right now as we speak that will come to light in due time.

Just two months ago it was worry about what the Wii had left. Two months later and you have MadWorld, Fatal Frame 4, Tenchu 4, Tecmo Bowl Wii, The Conduit, and so on.

If you build it, they will come.

I wouldn't be suprised if FF13 is 2010, Killzone 2 is a ticking time bomb of disappointment, and i thought Jaffe said he was gonna stop making GoW games? looks like 1 major game/year

edit 2: MS will pop something out to compete with GT5, even if it is a victory it'll be a close one.

Dude, I haven't even finished GTA4 yet. I am in no way dissapointed in the system. Get over yourself.

People said the exact same thing about 2008. Here are my predictions for 2009.

KZ2 will be the Haze of 2009

FF13 will be delayed to 2010

GOW3 will be like NG2 and get AA

GT5 is the PS3's best shot at an AAA.

MS will have something to counter Sony's lineup, perhaps Forza 3 and Halo 4.

So are we admitting that the PS3 has been irrelevent so far or are we acting as if the 360 won't release games in 2009.

SW is seriously awesome. In '06 it was "wait 'till '07, then you'll see!". Then in '07 it was "Wait 'till '08, then you'll see!". Now it's "wait 'till '09, then you'll see!". Meanwhile you have the Wii owning the PS3 in it's hometown and the 360's game library looking more like the PS2's. How about the pure bread cows stay quiet untill things actually start coming out and happening for the PS3 instead of hyping every single line Sony throws at you? I have a feeling FFXIII won't see the light of day in America in '09. which is sad because I'm actually waiting for that bundle.

also there is a good chance that final Fantasy XIII will be out in 2010 0r 2011 knowing how sony like to keep ps3 owner waiting and we haven't even seen a new trailer of Final Fantasy XIII or gameplay trailer this year.
