2010 Game of the Year?

Who ya got so far? I know big players like Gran Turismo, Black Ops, Assassins's Creed and Donkey Kong havent hit yet, but so far, who is it?

No Starcraft II? I thought it was a little overrated and even I feel it deserves a nomination. It was a long awaited game with critical and commercial acclaim and it definitely deserves to be right on par with Red Dead and God of War III.

I'd personally go for Episodes form Liberty City, probably the funnest game I've ever played, then Red Dead, that just ozzes awesomness.

I would personally vote for Mass Effect but i think Red Dead Redemption will win it

If Fallout: New Vegas wasn't so got dang buggy I'd say that, but it is. Super Mario Galaxy 2 methinks.

What else do you expect people to think when you say "Lol@ Red Dead and GOW3 having a chance"? The only way to take that is by thinking you meant the games don't have a chance.

I love Mass Effect 2 i but i would think a game that scored a 9.5 would have a better chance than a game that scored a 9.0. I know thats not the case all the time though.

Mine, so far (though unlikely to change based on the upcoming games) is Heavy Rain.

Probably the only title I paid full price for, beat once, and had such an amazing experience with. I keep thinking about going back to it, but in the end I felt my decisions, and their affect on the outcome, was one of the most amazing things I've experienced in gaming. I didn't even get a "good" ending.

Hopefully I've cleared any confusion up. Both games have a chance, just not very good ones in my opinion, thus the reason for my "lol" remark in my OP. ;) I don't see either game as a serious contender for goty.

Yeah, not having SC2 on the poll is epic fail. It seems be the biggest competition for SMG2, atleast that's what the general concensus of SW seems to be.

Well personally i don't think GoW3 has a very good chance at getting GoTY here, but Red Dead Redemption was a great and got a score of a 9.5 to prove it. WHy don't you think its a serious contender?

RDR was good but it's not even in my top 5 this year. I'd put ME 2 after Reach and SC 2.

Mass Effect 2. It's so good I'm currently suffering through ME1 (I will never complain about planet scanning again) just to set up my canon renegade Shep.
