2010 Game of the Year?

mass effect 2, but like others here I think RDR will win. Thats a great game also so I dont mind too much.

Eh, most people are expecting SMG2 to win. Anything else winning would be a surprising upset. I'm still counting on Vanquish to nab shooter of the year though :twisted:

Hell yes I do. Granted it would be kind of a surprise if Vanquish actually did win but I wouldn't say Reach has the award absolutely locked.

My favorites so far this year have been Just Cause 2 and F1 2010.

I won't have an opinion of Mass Effect 2 until January.

Yeah right. I see Starcraft 2 get more love here than just about any other game. That and ME2.

Thats because it is "COOL" to like Starcraft and Mass Effect 2. IMHO there are a few RTS this year better than SC2, namely CIV and Napoleon Total War. As for Mass Effect 2, I was much more impressed with Dragon Age.

My personal GOTY is either Castlevania LoS or Darksiders. Gotta love the Zelda clones, and as for Castlevania being a God of War clone, IMO it kicks GoW 3's ass.

Knowing gamespot, they will pick SMG or some stupid shart like Black ops or Halo.....

Bad Company 2. Currently at level 50 and counting, more than 600 hours spent. Honorable mention: Starcraft II.

Probably something goofy like Limbo. Remember that Demon Souls beat out Uncharted 2. If there's a game that's clear cut GotY quality and other sites recognize it, expect GS to shun it and find some weirdo title to prop up.Senor_Kami

Demon's Souls was a great game and deserved to win just as much as Uncharted 2.

For me its Red Dead, which is only slightly better than Mass Effect 2. And I really do mean only slightly.
