2010: The year of platform exclusive flops?

Not been a great year for platform exclusives, whereas multiplatform titles have fared much better.

I have had plenty of great exclusives this year, maybe even more than multiplats... not sure though.

The Wii has been doing great this year. I think the only flop was NMH2.

Other M didn't flop.

for Heavy rain, no one was talking sales, it flopped here by not getting AAA (though frankly I think hyping a concept like Heavy Rain AAA is not smart to begin with)

#2 isn't the one in mention. and I'm pretty sure no one would hype #2 based on #1. and the fact it probably need localization(not even in GS archives?) to get noticed around here more.

I left it out since it's already confirmed for a PC release, though it is currently a timed 360 exclusive.

But there've been more multiplatform flops I think, Bioflop 2, Final Floptasy XIII, Final Floptasy IV, Fable III, Flopout New Vegas, Flopvania. Probably more I'm forgetting.

yeah, in February. GS has no mention of WKC2. and from my understanding the game is out in Japan?

not sure, but it's usually relevant here when the game is localised and given an English version. since that's what GS would review.

I fixed it (somewhat) as I do not see how HR flopped and how Fable III did not. I think exclusives were pretty good this year except for the 360 :P.

That's exactly why the flops listed are flops. They were hyped to reach a certain score, and failed to reach it.

Modnation Racers was a serious FLOP IMO. I had high hopes for that game and bought it the day it came out. It had the potential to be better than Mario Kart but it was full of bugs, long loading times, and cheating AI.
