And how does that applies with this?

UC2 had the same tough competition in 2009, and still made a name for itself.

Uncharted as a franchise is showing sings of evolving foward. Not the other way around.

If we go by that, UC3 will scored just as great or perhaps surpass it since Naughty Dog only knows how to do that and what works and what doesn't. By your analogy, UC3 wont score as good, wont be anything of an improvement, will has the same melody, same, song and same tune.

Thats not how it works.

tonitorsi

Uncharted 3 will be an improvement, but it will end up lower on Metacritic and won't win as much awards as 2.

I am sure will be impossible to find a publisher with a multimillion selling game like Witcher

killzoneded

They did find a publisher for the Witcher but due to tech limitations of the consoles the game couldn't be ported and the project was cancelled. What makes you think a more advanced version of the the same engine will be able to ported this time?

That's not true. They cancelled it because they thought it "would not meet our own expectations of quality."

Actually exactly because is more advanced engine and optimized for consoles from day one, will easilly run on them

The developers have tested and run the engine on consoles and have confirmed it 10 times, also the game is DX9, what consoles use, like Crysis 2

Looking at Crysis 2 on 360, i dont see why this would not run with a proper streaming engine, in fact will easilly run on xbox 360

Now, what makes you think that something already running on xbox 360 will eventually somehow not run on it ?

What makes this statement valid?

Does this mean Mass Effect 3 wont score as good? Skyrim will be pure floppage? Zelda flop iminent?

You know I remember people singing the same exact rythm with UC2 in 2009 and look how that turned out.

Not really. It means the studio they hired couldn't handle the job. They didn't even say anything about console limitations.

Your right, the more complex and graphically rich a game becomes the easier it is to port.

Ehh, screw it, going into Hermit mode. D3 and TW2 are in no way actually confirmed for consoles. Just give it up. Also, 90+ exclusive games say what?

Well, it is all in the optimization

Crysis 2 that looks 10x better than Withcer 2, runs fine on xbox 360 and is a latest game and the best looking ever (and probably for the next 5 years)

Expectations of quality, considering the game was fully completed and it was only a port, quality must refer to elements such as frame rate and performance. Wouldn't you agree?

tenaka2

CD Projekt thought Widescreen games weren't doing a good enough job. According to Widescreen, it's because they weren't getting paid. This is what CD Projekt said:

2. Truth is that payments were later than originally planned but this was solely due to delays in production. The delays were growing in the project due to Widescreen Games continued to miss the deadlines.

3. Delays and risks of further development by Widescreen Games were unacceptable by CD Projekt (this happened even though CD Projekt RED was constantly increasing main team involvement to help in the production). The most important fact is that development process didn't make planned release date possible and moreover propositions of the new release date were changing few times. Besides the schedule, technical incapability created a risk of missing planned quality which is absolutely unacceptable. And this brought an end in our cooperation with Widescreen Games.

This year the PC and the PS3 is so close in game releases that (before we see scores) any comment on which will be better is purely bias, and not much in the area of objective speculation.

I voted PC, due to the exclusives the PC has this year that interrests me, unlike most of the PS3 exclusives, I am aware tho that those games will be just as good, just different genres for different people, so the exclusive part is kind of void untill we see scores.

The 2nd part of why I would pick PC is because of the Multiplats, they will as usual perform better on the PC, giving it just another small edge.

But If I take the fanboy goggles off, I am well aware, that those two systems are so close in content this year, that you might aswell flip a coin and claim victor due to the coin toss.

I am a bit worried about the 360, They need to do something with that library, and I expect a new nintendo console this year, no joke :P

Exclusive wise, I'm sure most people will pick the console they've purchased more exclusives on, which makes sense. With that being said, my answer at this point in the year, is none of those consoles. =P

Haven't picked up that many 2011 exclusives; just one for the Playstation 3 and five for the DS. Go DS.

Actually console teams are used to port the game to consoles as we speak

People dont waste money and pay wages just to have fun, they are making games

CDProject has confirmed the vibility a million times already BTW, trust me they dont hire to that, what a joke

killzoneded

Your back to making stuff up I see.

'Actually console teams are used to port the game to consoles as we speak' I mean really? You just made this up you have NO proof of this at all. You really have to stop lying for your console.

I need proof to know that a company with 10 console jobs are making a console game ?

Not me, there is a word we use for that, which is "obvious"

This has been explained to you in your numerous alt accounts before, the mere fact that a company is hiring console oriented jobs doesn´t mean that the game will have a console version.

I´m not even going to trouble myself with the links I showed numerous times before regarding other games in the same situation that never got console versions(such as Warcraft 3,Diablo 2 and even WoW,all of them with console job applications as well, and that´s just Blizzard),so it´s really no use anymore.

Hellooooou

Uncharted 3....96 on Meta critic with 100 reviews. 80 GOTY awards, more than 140 industry awards...ring a bell?

tonitorsi

Which doesn't mean the sequel will do as well(or even close), especially with the competition it's getting.

And how does that applies with this?

UC2 had the same tough competition in 2009, and still made a name for itself.

Thats the one thing i like about uncharted, they actually add to their gameplay instead of take away like crysis 2. Naughty Dog has always expanded upon their games which is why they are as good a developer as they are.

Shouldn't the 360 version of Crysis be considered an exclusive as its so much better then the PS3 and PC version? Its so much better its practically a different game.

tenaka2

The PC version of Crysis 2 is easily the best version, even if it is consolised.

I'd let it go. Apparently all motion controls are gimmicks, especially if they aren't on a Sony platform. Who knew?

lulz so me saying that I consider Move a gimmick means I don't consider Move a gimmick? the meaning of things is funny through rose-colored glasses I guess.

I find it interesting, considering your posting history, that you're insinuating that I'm biased.

the TC seems pretty biased considering they dug up any AA PC exclusive they could find and yet didnt bother to do the PS3 justice.

- youre going to put "the old republic" (have you seen the gameplay footage? it looks terrible) on there, but not "dark souls?"

- you put up "sword of the stars 2" on the list, but not "little big planet 2?"

- you put "firefall" on there but not "Killzone 3?"

- also you failed to mention SOCOM 4, motorstorm apocalypse, Yakuza 4, and the 3 "collections." thats pretty unfair.

considering that there's about 9 more great PS3 exclusives that you didnt list, im going with the PS3. plus uncharted 3 alone would be enough to make it the best console of the year.

oh and witcher 2 is not going to be a PC exclusive. and possibly not diablo 3 either.
